Laziness on the part of the seller isn’t really a red flag to me, just something to take into account for negotiation. I’d consider a red flag more serious and probably legally borderline if not outright fraudulent.

I mean yeah I’m an insurance agent so anything I’m telling a kid they need is going to be way too expensive, but going on your parents policy with liability only is doable if you can save up to buy a cheap car for cash. A basic policy for a 1999 V6 manual Camaro isn’t going to kill a high school kid with a part time

I posted about it in my own response (how the hell am I in the greys BTW?!) but there are definitely still cheap cars available to buy and run. The problem is if the previous generations don’t allow you to have experiences with real cars you get stuck in the basic “which car is best in each Forza class” level of

There’s a real process to growing up as a car enthusiast. You start with games and other media at a young age to get excited about cars. Usually at this time it’s primarily the latest and greatest new performance cars and top-trumps debates with your friends about which one is better because of 0-60 times and top

A C8 Corvette is a bit different because the rear trunk gets hot, right? So you’d want to keep your groceries in the front. An EV frunk when there’s already a true trunk is probably not going to be used much except for maybe emergency supplies since you need to release inside and then do the hood-style release outside

Are you all forbidden from recommending a GTI/Golf R? You can get a really nice low-mileage CPO MK7 Golf R for well under $40k with room for track day consumables.

Yes it does. My wife’s car (not a Kia/Hyundai) got broken into while street parked at work in the middle of winter. Luckily they were just looking for valuables and didn’t try to break into the steering column, but she had to drive a half hour home with no passenger side window in single digits. Luckily she had a good

Interestingly, vandalism claims were more common for the Hyundais and Kias equipped with the new anti-theft software than those without.”

Price aside, this is a pretty good looking car. I’m excited to see what the ICE version prices out at, and how they’re going to scale down the platform for the next-gen Giulia, hopefully also with a 6-cyl.

The 85 mph limit in the manual sounds like something they put in in the 80s and forgot to change. Even normal OEM all-seasons are usually rated to something like 115 mph. But the fact that it sounds like they’re using it to deny warranty claims is questionable.

This is weird. The seats get in the way of the doors no matter how they’re swiveled, so you probably gotta be pretty flexible to get in.

I didn’t get a ticket, just a warning but still got pulled over. I got pulled over in a ski hill parking lot. Apparently it’s a one-way loop around the parking spots and I went the wrong way out. The cop acted like I was a dumbass and was saying how they clearly marked everything with signs and marks on the pavement so

If the AI bubble is bursting that means the dumb AI search function on every social media site is going to go away, right? RIGHT!?

Did they actually sell any of the LC hybrids? They cut 100 hp and got rid of the amazing V8 sound AND charged more so you could get upper 20s MPG on your $100k+ weekend car you’ll drive maybe 5k miles/year.

CVT WRX

Never said the car was bad. They’re good cars, but the ARE overrated. They’ve been put on a pedestal by people who were 12 years old when Gran Turismo came out and further bolstered by a connection to a mediocre movie and a boring actor. It’s a Japanese E46, good car but nowhere near worth what they’re going for today

I don’t think I am. The total number of miles driven in the US is 3.2 trillion miles annually. There are over 5 million car accidents every year including both fatal (~40k) and non-fatal. That’s, what, one accident for ever 640k miles traveled? A 99.9999985% success rate.

The Tesla “handling” claim is maneuverability, not handling.

Counterpoint: They’re not cool, only the fact that someone kept an uncool part on the vehicle for the sake of period originality is cool.

1. I’d agree with Herbie. I saw the original movie, and it’s pretty stupid. And they brought out Herbie in the Disney World stunt driving show and all I remember is all the old grandparents telling the little kids “SEE IT’S HERBIE!!!” like they would have any idea what that is.. and they got no reaction.
