The same kids that were racing around in riced-out Civics wouldn’t be in Hellcats. Those kids would have had BMWs at the time.

Insurance restrictions started in 2022, so not over the last decade. If you already had it on a policy they weren’t going to cancel you. So it’s only an issue if you’re shopping for insurance because rate increases or you just bought one. It’s not all carriers, so if we’re writing a new policy we know the ones to

I own a Vette and know they’re not exclusive at all. Sure some are better than others like special editions but only because they look good, not because they’re rare. But I now I’m in the minority. So that makes my 2004 Commemorative Edition convertible 6mt owned by someone who knows Corvettes aren’t exclusive a 1 of

Go with the AMG GT. No it’s not a boutique brand like the Aston but it’s an amazing car to drive. It’s got the same V8 that Aston borrowed for the newer Vantage, and especially without the aero pack is gorgeous.

No it doesn’t compete with the Aston. Also unless it’s an LFA I couldn’t in good conscience recommend any Lexus to someone as a replacement for an Aston, only if their complaint was reliability.

The explanation of compartmentalization without seat belts makes complete sense to me. I’m just thinking on a practicality standpoint, with kids ranging in age from 5 to 18, sitting 2-3 across, with backpacks and (for some older students) band instruments or sports equipment, sometimes school projects. Just the time

I’m still baffled by how people ever considered that cool. I mean if you’re going full F&F sure, but the rattly Civic with a fart can that they floor it everywhere, screaming to redline from a stop, shift into second and they’re going like 20 mph. Pretty sure the minivan I learned to drive in was faster than almost

Honestly was surprised the username wasn’t FenrikHisker...

I learned to drive stick on a dogleg 5-speed, still love that car, but the fact that it’s a great 5-speed doesn’t mean the fact that they’re dying off is sad to me.

Comparing motorcycle insurance to auto insurance is a little disingenuous. You can get away with a lot lower limits on both bodily injury and property damage since you’re not causing as much damage in a motorcycle on car accident. Many states also don’t require PIP or med-pay, which is where it gets expensive.

No the snout does not grow on you. My wife and I were at our local auto show a couple weeks ago and were surprised BMW was there since they had pulled out of the show years ago. They didn’t have an M3 but had the new X2, iX, XM, and i4. Since I’m in the market for a new car I jokingly said I was looking at one of them

What’s even more baffling is that BAT and C&B bidders KNOW cars, and know what’s going on in the market. They should know the company is tanking and the cars are shit, yet they’re overpaying anyway.

You literally JUST did this one.

Because people want SUVs now... That’s really it. Giulias don’t lose half their value on day 1 anyway, I wish they would because I’m in the market for one.

See my reply below, I know Genesis doesn’t have the theft/ignition issue. My response here was to someone who mentioned they didn’t think HYUNDAI had theft or engine issues like Kia did, which they certainly do, and to the same extent. My anecdotal info corroborates actual data, would you say knowing someone who’s had

State Farm and USAA are direct writers so I don’t know much about them, but Progressive certainly will not allow Kias and Hyundais in a certain year range along with many other insurance companies. They won’t cancel your policy if you already had them on it, but they’re not going to let you add a new one or write a

I don’t think Genesis is part of the problem, just run of the mill Hyundai. Though I have heard of oil burning issues on the Stingers and others with the 3.3 so who knows..

No but the C240 was available as a wagon in the US just a few years before. So they were probably trying to get it in as a believable car that way.

They’re just as bad as the Kias for both theft and engines. Friend of mine who’s Tuscon got stolen last year is now in for engine replacement, and the other three Hyundais at my office have all had engine replacements. They’re also blacklisted from many of the insurance companies just like Kia is.

I was going to comment this too. Yeah, you CAN buy one of the best modern sport sedans for that price. But it’s not a Hyundai, it’s an Alfa.
