I put something similar to that in the last poll about driver’s ed. The nicest thing you can do is be predictable and just go when it’s your turn.

Failure to yield.

I gather the Wrangler’s high transaction prices has almost everything to do with the fact that you can’t get anything but the 4xe in many states. Can’t sell the cheap ones when you can’t get the cheap ones.

It was a lot more expensive than the competition, a shit ton heavier, and the doors were power only and very slow.

Can’t find the video now, but a couple of years ago saw something about a guy testing the crush sensors in the doors with carrots and it went right through them. Apparently at the time (not sure if it’s been changed since then) the sensors were too sensitive so they just disabled them.

Didn’t know you could ever get an F30 328 with a manual and AWD, interesting. Must have been dropped after the 2013 MY since I had to get a 335i to get both xdrive and stick.

Gotta say I’ve been fortunate enough to have never bought/leased a disappointing car in my life. Granted they may be disappointing to some, have always gone for more enthusiast-oriented models, and I haven’t owned that many cars, but all of them have been great. Even my first car though I didn’t buy it myself (2008

Modern cars are also a victim of engine downsizing on the lower end. Toyotas still use the 2.5l NA engine but a lot of cars/SUVs are going to 1-1.5l turbos which look good on fuel economy ratings but often use much more gas/emissions in the real world when driven any differently than the normal test cycle.

It’s Scotland, too. May have very different coverages and exclusions from us here.

Effectively submerged could also mean rain got in through channels or around blocked channels to the battery in a way that it shorted out crucial components that would normally only short if they were submerged.

Man those “expert” articles are a load of crap. They seriously just look at the scoring from Consumer Reports which notes vague performance ratings like acceleration, handling, etc in a 1-10 scale right along with practicality, and only works if you’re crunching every single number on a “need” purchase. Sports cars

The loon one is good, it’s got a white border so IMO the color doesn’t really clash with anything. I’ve got the support the troops one, both my cars with it on are 10 years old so even with the $35 yearly donation it’s super cheap, goes to a good cause, and as a side benefit I’ve heard anecdotally that cars with that

I mean, that could very well be the case, but I would still much rather have a slightly higher center of gravity (but still where the factory intended originally) than an aftermarket potentially structural body panel above my head in a car that’s as capable as a 911 and would be driven as such.

Personally I would run full speed away from a non-factory carbon roof. I’ve seen what happens to a car that had its roof replaced, where it was glued instead of welded on (like the factory repair manual says should be done), and was in another accident. The car folded like a piece of paper.

Well there’s your problem, they’re using full-size cars. If they used petit cars they probably wouldn’t have been going fast enough to spin off after contact.

We’re getting a lot of them around me, there really aren’t many busy 4-way stops anymore except one right by my house where a roundabout probably wouldn’t work since there’s not enough space.

Depends on what game, I got my license in 2007 so I had played NFS Underground which had low-speed drifting, and Forza, PGR, etc. Yeah they weren’t realistic but at least it made turning into the skid make sense and pretty instinctual.

Unless it’s just a Dodge Colt.

I’d argue they should learn without either. Front wheel drive and all-season tires. Both 4-wheel drive and winter tires can make quick work of many low-grip situations and make it feel like you’re perfectly fine and can drive like normal, until you need to make an emergency maneuver and can’t. Learning to drive in

God I hate that dance people do at 4-way stops. It may be an asshole move but if someone is hesitating I’ll just go. Deliberately showing intention by moving instead of creeping, stopping, creeping, stopping is much safer and they’ll also get moving sooner if I just go.
