Yup.

Some woman (allegedly) thinking that a performance piece was license to sexually violate someone is further proof that we are in desperate need of public education on consent.

It is sad that this needs to be stated, especially here. The articles first comments were very dismissive and that people didn't believe him. That breaks my heart.

Hope he presses charges. This is awful

Believe victims, guys. Even if we don't like who they are as people, or they're "tryhards" or their art is dumb. Believe them.

Rape victims are treated like garbage by the vast majority of police, we just went over this with the Cosby case. What happened to Shia is not okay and I hope he gets connected with whatever supports he needs.

My husband covered the UConn women's basketball team, and they always went in the locker room. Get your information straight. There's no banning.

If men would show any serious sporting interest in women's sports, and demanded equal media attention that necessitated sending top-level male sports journalists to cover them, I think they would find that male journalists have the same access as female journalists do to women's locker rooms.

I can't believe that of all of the things covered in this piece, the majority of the comments are focused on the question of whether male reporters are allowed to interview naked female players. They've reduced your love of the game to your "right" to see naked players.

The writing on some of these stories, and from back before I ever thought about things like gender politics in the locker room, are always enjoyable and eye-opening.

"I'm so grateful to that guy. The only reason I think I got traction was because he was a third-party witness who didn't previously know me. His testimony made my case for me."

Absolutely great piece, and a terrific follow-up. You all do a lot of cool and funny stuff here at Deadspin, but, The Stacks is by far my favorite thing about this site.

It's hard to believe that people can be so bigoted against a physically disabled person. I'm so sorry no one stepped up to defend you.

I was assaulted by three PE teachers over the years. I'm very very petite and was much more so as a child (as an adult, there's lots of tiny people! In a class of less than 130, not so much). I also have a EDS, which was undiagnosed at the time but I had lots of pain and doctors' notes confirming there was some

Here's the thing, if pool was scheduled (or even gym in general since exercise can lead to mussed hair), then she knew it was going to happen, and because it's at school she is expected to do it unless there is a serious reason, and I'm sorry, most people will not take "my hair will look bad" as equal to extreme

Except for the fact that you're supposed to show up prepared for class. In my high school PE class, if you forgot your gym clothes you could either play in your regular clothes or take a zero for the day. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that they don't spring pool days on you unexpectedly, so I would call

I think not wanting to get in the pool because your hair done is a perfectly acceptable reason to not get in the pool. It makes me really mad that people are acting like her reason isn't valid. If I were that girl I probably would've punched that teacher in the face or kicked him in his penis I'd have been so pissed.

Keith Law has the science on his side, but you have to give a man of faith like Schilling credit—

Lawyer here. Yes, you're correct if Oklahoma is a one party state. The boy recording committed no crime and if he was not acting on behalf of law enforcement, it's not subject to the exclusionary rule (evidence obtained illegally by law enforcement cannot be used at trial).
