“Dammit you guys I said make a GIANT SPOCK!!”

She is the prettiest person. She was a lovely young woman, and now she is a very pretty old lady.

I would love to see an exhibit of her dresses.

Why are there so many Queen haters in the comments? What's wrong with you people? Do you guys hate cake and Disneyland too?

Although I disagree and I’m sure everything about her every day is wicked mundane, I really, really appreciate the Mr Weasley comparison example. Carry on.

This is an interesting perspective. There was a historian on NPR this morning who said that her steadiness, more ordinary style, politeness, etc. were what kept the monarchy alive in the UK. That her ability to not be the center of all things is what really prevented a dismantling of the monarchy.

I recognize that she’s not my queen and I might feel differently if my tax dollars had to support the Royals, but I love Liz. She reminds me of my late grandmother.

Honestly, some people complain about the wealth and priviledge of the royals, but this humble poor wouldn’t swap places with them for anything. A job that I basically can’t quit, which means constantly meeting and making small talk with large groups of strangers? That’s like my personal hell right there.

‘Tis a “Bandeau Hat”! I’ve got one in black velvet just waiting for Christmas!

This dress though. I would kill for this dress!

In advance of the landmark, the Times of London reported the assessment of constitutional historian David Starkey, who compared her unfavorably to Queen Victoria, the previous record-holder. He said Elizabeth sees her job as “ordinary and humdrum” rather than as “something grand, like the embodiment of history,”

Marry Harry.

Also this one (in case anyone hasn’t already seen em floating around)

How do I get her wardrobe tho

Faking it? I’ve always figured it’s like Mr Weasley’s fascination with Muggle life- it seems exotic to her because “mundane things” aren’t a part of her life.

And then there is this, my second-favourite picture of all time. A picture of such sublime, ecstatic absurdity that it really ought to be hanging in the National Portrait Gallery for future generations of Britons to appreciate and revere. I love it so.

I covet a whole lot of her wardrobe.

I want this hair piece! (and my curls to obey simple instructions and create this hairstyle)

We know the feeling.
