Random Handsome Ceramic Loving Man

New account, old story.

Ohhhh, yeah, that oppressive feeling is real. We live close to Baltimore, and if you’ve ever taken the Fells Point ghost tour, you know about The House. Looks like every other house on the street, but has the most godawful vibes. The ghost tour stopped there, and I immediately started shaking from head to toe (and

Well, I thought I had no stories to contribute this year until I took my dog for a walk in the woods behind our house yesterday. So I made a whole new burner account to tell this maybe not *scary* but definitely unsettling story. We've got a few miles of conservation land with trails that are well-used but generally

This made me so sad for Sue and so many old folks, or even not so old folks, who are on their own during their last moments. I hope her passing was relatively painless and that she had a happy life.

Some observations of themes so far this year:

It’s interesting to me how there are so few creepy actual people or stranger danger stories (don’t worry I saw you Machete Gang and yikes) so I get the vibe that a lot of the commentariat is still not all the way outside. I started an in-person job in April and have had

I think something in my house is trying to get my attention.

That crushing pressure feeling is definitely a thing, isn’t it? The guest bathroom in my aunt’s house (of the past 30+ years) has that feeling and I’m in and out of there so fast! Some people have died in that home but not traumatic deaths (just old age) so I can’t explain it.

My first thought is angel, as well. It’s said that angels aren’t actually the human-type forms that we depict them in paintings, etc - that they’re actually just forms of pure, crystalized light, but since our human minds couldn’t comprehend them during earliest sightings, we perceived those shapes of lights as wings,

This isn’t a scary story, but it is paranormal and true. I share it in the hopes of gaining insight or knowledge, or hearing from someone who can relate.

I have a few stories about my mom in this thread, so I waited a bit to write my own. A simple but powerful occurrence.

“The Beedi Man”

The Servant

Not a scary story but it happened this week and feels like someone was looking out for me.

“The Lady in the Attic”

Thank you. It was a terrible time when it happened. M is all grown up now-in his twenties-but we do keep in touch.

When my boyfriend and I moved in together in San Francisco, we rented an apartment which was basically half the upstairs of an older home converted into apartments. The other half of the upstairs was another apartment where our landlord, Sue, lived. Sue was an interesting character who at first came off as an angry

The machete gang

I posted this a few years ago, but with all the scary stories involving children, I thought I’d throw this out again as well. My update is that (as we thought) our old neighborhood has sustained a substantial re-haul. The row house is still modest in size, but the amount of time, effort and money thrown into making

I wait all year long for Jezebel’s scary story contest, and this year, I have finally decided to contribute. My story is short, but not so sweet.
