Yeah, that makes sense. I guess I just feel like the ones she treated well had to have seen her abusing the other ones, but they do have quite an age range/range of when they were all there as you point out. It’s just hard for me to feel like her other kids could genuinely not know.

I have also never heard of Phil Hartman, lol. Thanks for the explainer!

See, I know who all of those people are!

Yes, I am! Yeah, it’s got to be generational. I’ve literally never seen Survivor or the Apprentice—but I also grew up without cable because I had those parents. So my celeb knowledge has gaps. Esp reality tv and sitcoms, because I only know HIMYM and Friends. Cheers? That one about a radio station? Frasier? Forget it!

...do you even read the news at all? Wilmington is completely cut off from the outside world by land, water, and air. The power is off most places, the running water might be next if they can’t get refueled, stores are closed, and peoples’ emergency food supplies are running out. That one street isn’t flooded but the

Fuck off

Yeah, it’s not just Soon-Yi--as you say, Moses describes Mia’s abuse as well.

I have no doubt that Woody Allen did everything Dylan says he did. What’s harder for me is that some of Mia’s children say she horribly abused them, and others passionately deny that she ever abused any of them. I don’t want to doubt anyone’s word about their childhood. But when children raised by the same mother give

Literally the only person besides Patton Oswald that I have heard of in this story. Who are these people????

Well, you could keep people like her in prison. Most incarcerated people aren’t in there for sex crimes against children, after all!

I hate to be that guy

God maybe because men can go LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE to talk about their shit among themselves?!

At this point anyone who uses the word snowflake is just making themselves look like a terrible person.

Yeah I think you’re right

:( You are exactly right and it’s awful

Yes, absolutely--and right now DC isn’t one of those places. Initiative 77 passed but has NOT been implemented.

This isn’t totally accurate about DC:

Yeah I have never understood flag worship. I can get behind patriotism, mainly from a perspective of wanting to make the country a better place for everyone to live, and making it a place with clean forests and great schools etc. But we shouldn’t act like the flag itself is more important than the values it is

I don’t understand being mad about this. It’s just a movie—just one movie. If you don’t want to see a movie doesn’t focus a lot on the “rah rah America!” angle, don’t go see it. Or make a movie about the moon landing that’s more jingoistic, whatever. It’s not an attack on America to leave that scene out, it’s just an

what the actual fuck?
