I’ve always found the coverage of MMA here to be pretty solid and fair (from Wyman, Nathan, Patrick, etc.). They call shit out when they see it and don’t gloss over the uncomfortable reality of the business, including the terrible way the UFC treats their roster and the media, as well as the dangers of weight cutting

The Democratic leadership is almost singularly focused on defeating Trump in 2020. As such their approach has been to be as uncontroversial and non-adversarial as possible. That strategy of course is extremely debatable as whether it will even be effective (probably not!).

Democrats will continue to lose as long as they refuse to play the game the Republicans are playing, for fear that it will inspire the Republicans to play it too.

The contortions one has to make to justify this is something I can say I never thought I’d see.

That foul I thought was chicken or egg. It was clearly White pulling her leg back to make her attempt that struck Sauerbrunn’s knee. But Sauerbrunn’s leg was already there, first. It’s not like she missed the tackle or ran into White, hell her leg didn’t even initiate the contact.

This is one of those cynical “if things worked the way they *should* then this wouldn’t be a problem” rulings. Roberts isn’t wrong in a vacuum, but we live in a reality in which what he’s describing is no longer either relevant nor reasonable.

Great job, Jason.

I don’t know if I fully agree 8.2 wasn’t ready. It was as ready as it was going to get at this point, as it was already at just shy of 7 months since 8.1, which is a long time between major patches (8.1 came four months after BfA release, and 7.3, 7.2 and 7.1 all came within five months at most of the previous major pa

Talk about playing to role as a 2019 Democrat.

It fails on so many levels with even the slightest interrogation. It’s basically pitched as a solution to something that it can’t actually impact because it’s outside the purvey of where any control would exist.

I think this is both correct and fascinating, but also highlights a failure of our educational system.

It says a lot about this moment when people in our country are more concerned with being called racist for doing or saying racist things, or calling a concentration of specific people in camps, uh concentration camps, then actually doing those things.

Mitch McConnell is an actual Onion article come to life.

An apple?

I mean they use polling numbers and individual contributions so why not just sort them top to bottom based on that?

In that case, it’s lucky no one got shot

To be fair, most people didn’t expect Kawhi to guard Giannis. The Bucks had too much fire power and wasting Leonard’s energy on defense seemed like it would depress the only reliable offense Toronto had.

Exactly, you start diving into hypotheticals and the first one on that list in recent memory is the 2015 title Golden State won over the Cavaliers.

As a former athlete the more patronizing thing to do would be fucking passing the ball back and forth and keeping possession. That’s such an insult.

Agreed, it’s only amplified because well known players now exist across realms rather than just your own server population.
