Haven’t watched it yet, so I won’t comment on the story, but I did wanna say that I appreciated what y’all did on the front page

In addition to Johnson’s weirdly great casting as Anna (she genuinely looked like she could be Bella Ramsey’s mother), I also spotted TLOU2 voice actor Laura Bailey’s name in the credits as one of the nurses. It’s been nice to see so many fixtures of video game voice acting enjoying a bit of live screen time.

in the show, for what I’m pretty sure is the first and only time, Joel does something he does repeatedly in the game: he boosts Ellie up, here so she can lower a ladder for him.

Counterpoint: it was not, and it’s aged very well.

Also his villain/extremely annoying role in The Good Place was hilarious

I’ve never followed his work but he was really brilliant for Severance

Her stuff is awesome, really nails that old FMV horror feel

That and drinking clear liquor.

Ron dropping the third tray makes the episode an A for me. I nearly peed myself.

What a stupid comment.

I’m just going to add this obviously-overlooked entry in the comments:

A technique made popular by the old phone books.

I feel too many portable games are held to the same standards of console games. At least Switch should alleviate that, but I feel journalists, gamers and even game designers themselves forget how drastically inferior portable tech used to be, and how different the experience should be.

I’ve never met anyone who agrees with me but Double Dash, in my humble opinion, belongs at the very bottom of the list. Every single thing about that one felt off to me’ right on down to the physics. Drifting felt especially bad to me. It's the only Mario Kart game that I haven't enjoyed.

Hardcore fans will note that Mario Kart Wii, while initially being thought of as a bit of breezy entry, turned out to be one of the most hardcore entries in the entire series. Certainly it’s better than Mario Kart 64 and Double Dash in every single way other than nostalgia.

Mario Kart 64 is the worst game in the main series (as in, not including the mobile game and the arcade games). Even at the time of its release, I was disappointed in it compared to Super Mario Kart. That doesn’t mean I didn’t still enjoy it at the time. Of course I had a lot of fun with it. But it was still a clear
