Well, I guess it is an original logo. Not a good one, but one people were able to recognize.

IIII instead of IV is definitely weird, but it’s not totally unheard-of.

I would also like a Ghosts 2 since the first one left off on a CLIFFHANGER!

This sounds awesome and has grabbed my attention for farcry 5.

He’s one of those famously intense actors who’s very low-key and relaxed in the interviews, or at least he was with Colbert recently. It’s kind of disorienting.

I fucking love this man.

While there are a lot of fantastic wrestlers today, it fails to live up to the Attitude Era, IMO. Half the current WWE roster can’t cut a decent promo and those those that can, are told to read from a script instead. You rarely get decent matches on TV and the lack of decent storylines is maddening. Also, take into

Attitude Era had prime Eddie Guerro and Chris Benoit.

Sure, it’s just that her face looks like Miss Piggy fucked a Cabbage Patch Kid. Oh, and the fact that she’s the Dane Cook of female comedians.

And before you launch into “you just hate female comedians”, no. Bamford, Notaro, Leslie Jones, Margaret Cho are all contemporaries of Schumer, except, you know... funny.

Just “he looks like Amy Schumer” would have worked. She isn’t exactly a size 0 and that’s been part of her schtick.

Are you the new weekend editor? If so, welcome.

I came to post this and was please it already was

RotT did not use BUILD engine, no matter that some roots of BUILD may be found in it. BUILD was at its peak around 1995, pre-97, when DooM and iD tech started to show its age, but polygonal stuff (ie Quake) was not yet available.

Rott was not Build engine

The problem is that pixel art can be charming. Early 3D ain’t charming. Look at Dusk, it’s trying to replicate the Quake look.

This scene has wormed its way into my vocabulary, alongside Kung Pow quotes and Venture Brothers references

Some of the earlier games I think are pretty hard to go back & look at (Gran Turismo, ugh). But Duke 3D and Doom (in particular) aren’t too hard on the eyes. Art design can really help overcome limitations.

Calling it “fake 3D” is still a really weird thing to say. These are early attempts at 3D graphics, just because it doesn’t use traditional triangle rasters that we have these days doesn’t mean it’s not 3D - it’s just done with lots of compromises.
