I completely agree with your statement, save one aspect... Our bodies need movement and exercise to stay healthy. If you can integrate that into your children’s live, I agree, screw that mentality.

Definitely small spring clamps. They are cheap, come in different colors, easy to find, have a very strong grip, won’t fall apart and can be re-purposed for other projects.

I love the Better Homes and Gardens Candles. I could see this working nicely for cutting boards and butchers blocks, places you wouldn’t want to use traditional stains.
