My dogs LOVE going to the office, they aren’t cooped up in a cubicle though and everyone who comes in pets them. We also walk the kids to school everyday and I think they’re a little sad they can’t go to school with them. I’m sure in their minds it must be even better than the office, kids and even better kids with…
I’m going to have to watch this now. Rescue / shelter animals are the best animals. One of my cats, who passed away just a couple of months ago from cancer, was a rescue and I’m incredibly lucky and grateful to have had her for 6 years. She was the sweetest cat.
I saw a post on my facebook today where someone posted a story of a black man being killed by another black man and said “where is BLM now??” Conservatives are so quick at demanding apologies from people but when some dies as a result of them throwing a hissy fit at the idea of having to wait an extra day to buy an…
my dog’s been coming with me to the office for the last few weeks and the only thing he hates more than being cooped up in my cubicle all day is being at home by himself
Wow, it takes someone super edgy, smart, and wise to criticize and judge a family’s actions of dealing with the aftermath of a tragic death.
It’s either that or start addressing this fucked up country’s gun-stroking culture and why it intersects with misogyny so often. Often at the hands of some tiny-dick loser who can’t get laid in a morgue but has some kickass skills on his PS4s.
Adam Levine, but otherwise yeah, true.
It is THEIR tragedy, asshole. Grief makes you reach ANYWHERE for a sense of justice. Fuck off, this comment is heartless.
I really hesitate to call things like this “murder”, since it’s arguably self-defense.
Usually in these cases, it’s only AFTER the woman /kid is dead that we hear “defendant has 6 convictions for domestic violence in the past 10 years, 3 active restraining orders, kids taken away by CPS twice, neighbors and family all testify he’s always been violent”, etc. etc
Amen. People like her father who are physically abusive can very easily end up killing the people they abuse. She was (and still is) a child who reacted in the only way she knew how in order to protect herself after numerous other people failed her.
He was an immediate threat to her and her mother’s lives at any other time. He was violent and physically bigger. This was her only option for self defense as she was trapped living with her abuser.
I don’t know the history for this family, but so often there are 911 calls, attempts at getting protection orders, or reports to the state’s child welfare department in the past for families where abuse is this intense. There are often times when law enforcement could have stepped in but didn’t.
Can’t say that I’d shed many tears over someone who would so terribly abuse their partner/ children like that.
They are.
I’m not 100% sure, but it could have actually been her and her family’s choice to make it public in order to garner public support for her.
I was thinking the same thing when they stated that the case would be sealed. I mean, good that it won’t come up on a background check but won’t hide anything from a simple google search.
Could someone explain why her identity was made public? I thought all criminal cases involving juveniles had the defendant’s name redacted.
Dude, fuck the justice system. This girl should have never had to take that action to begin with.
