More and more I'm finding that my mom's old world methods didn't need many fancy improvements. I've used half lemons, salt as a scrubber, vinegar, orange oil....and they work. Baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and other common things do amazing things. I got a kitty pee stain out of a hard wood floor with the later two.

I see 'bitchy' as a compliment, not a flaw.

Rightwingers do this all the time, I see no reason to let anybody else get away with it. The same Repubs who are eager to say the incredibly sexist shit about women bristle like porcupines when the women on their side get criticized for....anything. And it's quite jarring to hear Rush "Feminazi" Limbaugh suddenly

It's only petty to people who want to shut down conversations about a variety of complicated subjects, perhaps.

Wow. That's very.....pubertyish. Can you fail puberty? Because that's a guy who's really uncomfortable with the many purposes of the breast.

Alas, I know people who did this but it wasn't so much about Palin as it was about that nasty black Kenyan Muslim. One of these people is a former friend of mine who's particularly naive and what I'd politely call "Sheltered." She has said, in all seriousness, that Obama wants to enslave American (white) women.

What, I'm supposed to support Palin and Bachman because they're women? OH HELL NO. I want to see someone try that. I'll point out sexism and slap around sexists on both sides of the aisle but let's face it: right wing women come from the same mold as these two and Coulter does: when the shoes on the other foot it's

Yeah, he always criticizes women in sexist terms but when he criticizes men it's about a whole spectrum of things——-their brains or lack thereof, their honesty, their statements, whatever. With women it all comes down to the fact that they have hoo hahs.

What makes that especially interesting is that he and Ann Coulter used to date. My God, if you look up 'hate fuck' in the dictionary....

What, you mean sarcastically that you want to do something doesn't make it happen? Woe! Jeez, what am I going to do with all this whipped cream?

That sounds exactly backward to this situation. The husband here is an abuser and the wife is the party being wronged; your guy was cheating on you, so you were the wronged party. Why would you check if you had no suspicion?

Um, try reading the article, then the comments again. The only person calling the wife is a liar is YOU. The only person defending the hubbie is YOU. He didn't SNOOP at her email, but you think she's lying so, so there you go again, trying to defend HIM.

Oh. Yes. We. Totally. Are. You. Caught. Us. Ohnoes what about teh menz.

Oh, yeah, I love my Victorian era—-especially the below stairs stuff. I can see if I can find some of the more famous cases, if you like?

Well, you're arguing that lots of people do it if other people are careless, that any and everybody would walk through an open door....And now you're calling the letter writer a liar and saying we can't trust her because.....why? Because you don't like her story, you don't like seeing the story from the point of

Not. The. Point.

You're blaming the victim and bending over backward to minimize the seriousness of what this guy is doing. What ridiculous speculation——-"My guess, she has her password saved here and he just went right in, most couples, I doubt he took hours of his time...." You're really invested in minimizing what he's doing

We're not talking about 'people' and trying to poo poo the seriousness of the situation by smugly asserting that everybody does it is, in itself creepy.

The prosecution trid to say that because she was a party girl and, well, a slut that she must have done it. You don't prove a case that way. This case was so tainted by the media that I wonder if a fair and accurate verdict was even possible. I think she did it, and I think the little girl was dead the day the

The case was so horrible that the judge imposed a gag order which was pretty much abided by. What was really eerie and scary about that case is that there was little chance she'd have gone that way without Bernardo. One of the victims was her own little sister, and they never should have gotten away with that case.
