How could the guy be innocent when he admitted to 'cuddling' with her while she was naked and incapacitated? She was friends the whole time till they called the cab. The cabbie called 911. I was really impressed by that piece because of how compassionate the DA's staff was. But they got stuck with a jury of "hur hur dur she's drunk" losers so that's how they lost the case.

I think it's just that the cops so thorougly and obviously preyed on somebody they were supposed to protect.
