I have no problem with this, these cars are not “ultra rare” and the end result isn’t that bad. If that’s what you want to do with your quarter million dollar super car, then who am I to say otherwise?
BMW’s Art Cars are essentially no different and yet we all love those.
My son kart races. He wants to be a F1 driver. He races against girls weekly, and beats and gets beaten by them. He simply thinks of them as fellow competitors. No more and no less. They are as welcome and respected as anyone on the grid. That's as it should be, no? #goodwoodkartways
“just as new electric keyboards are “superior” to Steinways.” Obviously, you don’t play a musical instrument.
EPA: We’ll get to the lead poisoned water in Flint right after we crush these cars.
my time to shine!!! I worked for *INSERT OEM HERE* as a release engineer for weatherstrips, and DLO’s those chrome strips around the windows are not so easy to change color, they aren’t like a bumper, or insert on the side of the car. they are almost always stainless steel or aluminum usually stretch-bent or stamped.…
It really should have been called Bangdango.
Just how many more people are going to point that out? I made a mistake in the heat of the moment and I corrected it as soon as I was made aware of it.
Thats utter malarky for Hondas. I can’t say about Nissan, but the Honda 4WS system, if anything, wore tires LESS simply due to how it operated. As far as it not being continued, well, it did (as someone else said above) until the end of the line in rare EDM or JDM models. But as it was something that did increase…
Exactly. Now, if we could just get Honda to stop screwing over NA by branding all the good Hondas as Acuras we would be all set. But, Americans are stupid enough to pay a premium for a car that the rest of the world gets as a Honda, so good for Honda.
A couple years ago, I hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. It’s three full days of 10-12 hours of hiking before you get to Machu Picchu. At best you can get the ole hole-in-the ground in a little lean-to at a campsite, at worst, you’re squatting over mid-trail in front of God and man.
Mechanically complex, tore up tires. If you go read up on the Nissan forums, you’ll find that most owners disabled theirs, called HICAS. The 300ZX, 240SX, Skyline, etc. often had the HICAS systems removed.
The 4th generation Prelude had electronic 4-wheel steering. It was prone to failure and after a couple years it was dropped from the US. They offered it all the way to the end of production in Japan and Europe though.
I actually like the 6er noise. It’s different, and sounds more futuristic! Plus it’s far more relevant to road technology than the V10's.
Also being at (or even near) the track you got the sense of how far away you could hear them from. For instance in a wet qualifying session you could be on the other side of the track and easily hear when one of them started a run, and then get a good sense of them getting closer.
