Actually according to all the peeps on Reddit from OSHA and what not they did violate multiple DOT rules/regulations on lane closures.... Need more cones, more space, signs and I believe even flaggers since they were so close to the road with the truck.... Thats BEFORE you throw in the hill and the snow/ice....
I hate this video, but they’re not breaking the law.
Someone else in the reddit thread found that they are indeed breaking Indiana DOT standards and it was found their cone placements were woefully short and that they needed to have two flaggers in place, one on the close lane approaching side and one on the open lane approaching side.
They are breaking the law. Stop playing dumb. Stopping a vehicle in a lane of traffic intentionally, performing work in the roadway, without proper signage or permitting, is breaking the law.
I’m no lawyer but I always thought that people were expected to provide a “reasonable standard of care” which clearly the Comcast employees did not. They created a dangerous situation and then refused to do anything about it even in the face of multiple notices that what they were doing was dangerous.
According to the article, they are breaking the law. There is a DOT protocol for a utility truck blocking a lane requiring enough time for drivers to react and recover.
They actually are. I’m a surveyor in civil services and there’s an Osha requirement for blind turns and corners. these guys are fucked. insurance is going to win a lawsuit vs them an Osha will likely levy fines.
Not defending it but after the first couple episodes without much in the form of zombie lots of people were complaining that it wasn’t enough like TWD. The change from prequal to copy could be a result of that.
