The saddest truism to come out over the last 20 years may just be that Conservative empathy only happens when it happens to them. There is no spiritual growth or intellectual curiosity. It goes from fuck you I got mine to OMG THAT WAS HORRIBLE WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING! only when it happens to them.

This is what passes for news? Slim Pickins wasn’t just a singer I suppose.

I’d say lighten up Francis, but...

The game was just a reimagined wasteland with a different style (no overhead view). It was great but if you grew up playing wasteland (no saves, one mistake, game restart)... you were just so happy.

I’m a huge Dune fan, and really was looking forward to this and a few more movies. I’m a fan of him as well and I get why he feels this way, but telling WB they won’t have any movie revenue for a year or two just is ignoring realities.

Creatives and bean crunchers, usually I side with the former, but this is a special

Damn, he was always fun to watch, had true comedic timing, and from accounts was a nice person. 2020 strikes again. Rest in peace.

Civics lesson: Long story short, there are no rules in congress for how things are done so they’ve always done it by seniority. People who have been in 30+ years get to chair and vice chair all the big committees. It’s easy to say turn it over but the goal is really to stay for decades to get the power to help your

Wait, there were movies in 2020? <Shocked Pikachu.gif>

Yes... but he’s also a minority. He’s not a white male, so the menu, as it were, changes. It doesn’t mean you should be shitty and mock Trans people, for example, but just like women comics are able to say things male comics should not, it’s not universal and once you have blurred lines, it’s going to be messy. I

Not at all, some of his stuff was funny, but it was a character... that he seemed to have morphed into in real life which got very sad.

I’ll try to explain. Of course you’re free to disagree as well. Two generations ago power structures were, at least post American Victorian Era (the 50s) unassailable. By the Nam era however, the door was open, so you said what no one said before (so you didn’t get dragged before the House Un-American Activities

I think that was tongue and cheek, but you are correct. The church bells in Paris was the killer line in that, so they set it up.

He just does it to show he can do it. Ban smoking, fuck you I smoke where I want! and everyone tolerates it.

It’s kinda what comics do which is why so many of them come off like homophobic or transphobic trash lately. The second you say something’s off limit, a sacred cow, they, by instinct, have to go after it. They know that’s the comic gold, in some respects. Yes, punching down isn’t what many want, but when you’re on

ERB killed that, everyone had a Michael Bay joke, but... Michael Bay had jokes too. Mostly about making some mfing money.

If only there was some other form of mass media consumption... alas, we’ll never know.

Solid episode for me.

The only overarching plot of the season was laid bare. Archer is just the excuse they all use to be their worst selves. They do it when he’s not around just because he’s awake. Not that he isn’t being an ass...

How many ‘I hate the show/it sucks/I stopped watching in season two’ people are here to fill the comments? *checks comments* That tracks. I’ve never seen a show that’s still running that people quit a decade ago manage to drag them out every single time to tell the world how much they hate it/how they quit. Even GoT
