I agree with everything you said, except I personally liked the FFXIII-2 combat more than FXIII. Faster paradigm switches (I really hated that first, loooooong switch in every FF13 battle), your “leader” can die, and more flexibility with developing the roles of each characters.

Who knew that My Hero Academia, Pokemon, and the Tales series could all be connected?

I wonder what he thinks the “soft” in Microsoft stands for...

If anything this means that they aren’t abandoning other consoles, since the Switch was the one looking like it was being abandoned!  As fun as it is to play remakes of 3DS games, I was having trouble going back after World.

Anyone that votes for Trump is a white-nationalist. Any religious person is deluded, uneducated, homophobic, or transphobic. Any person that says “all lives matter” is a racist. Anyone that believes in restricting immigration is a xenophobe and thinks all non-white people should be in cages.

The old DS game taught my wife and I how to play hanafuda, which are games we play with the actual cards with family now. I remember when I sold it, it actually netted me $30 from Gamestop!

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, but I recently upgraded my phone.  If I was trying to run Blades on my old iPhone 6 (not S), the Switch version would probably look amazing to me.  That is, if Blades even runs on an iPhone 6...

Good list here. The GBA is still the best way to play FF5 and FF6... which is kind of sad when you think about it. My personal favorites:

I’ve played all three, and X was my least favorite (I really wanted to like it though). X felt more like a map game with an endless amount of fetch quests. Chronicles and 2 certainly have their fair amount of fetch and hunt quests, but the stories and characters drive the game much more so than X. This was just me,

Honest question here - did they indicate what they thought what their bonuses were going to be, despite being significantly lower? I get that it still sucks and it’s not what they were expecting/promised, but I mean, $50,000 is significantly less than $100,000, but is still more than the yearly salary for a lot of

I know I’m an old-man millennial, but Civ 1 taught me more about ancient history than anything I learned in school. I remember many, many hours in front of my old Macintosh as an elementary kid playing Civ 1. My personal rankings, and because I can:
Colonization > 5> 1 > 4 > BE > 6 > CRev > 2> 3

I’m thinking about double-dipping on XCOM2. I have it on PS4, and while I absolutely love it, it runs like hot garbage. If they can get it to run smoothly on the Switch, even with a lower resolution or frame rate, I will totally buy XCOM2 again.

If you loved 1, definitely go for XCOM2. Tactics play out the same way as in 1 (but with adjusted classes, abilities, enemies, etc.), but the meta game is different enough to make it its own game. War of the Chosen is an awesome expansion, so it’s great its included - it adds more than even Enemy Within did.

You know you can’t win without the Medic or Scientist though...

I’ll second Outer Wilds here. I played that with my 10, 8, and 6 year-olds watching, and we had an absolute blast. I would explain what I was doing (they’d ask things like, “Why are we waiting for the sand to come in?”) and we’d briefly talk about new discoveries, and I’d try to ask for their opinions about what

I assume you guys claded the pokemon out based on morphological (visual) characteristics, right? The problem with that is that how similar two species look doesn’t away translate into how genetically similar those two species are. Like a kangaroo can kind of look like a giant rabbit, or horse is going to look similar

I think I had the exact same moment in my head when I saw Welkin up on the screen as well. It was glorious... and then I started frantically looking for something from Phantasy Star.

I have both, and I’d definitely recommend the Lite over the main for someone who just likes being portable anyways. The screen is smaller, but I haven’t had any issues with any games, even those with smaller text (like Fire Emblem 3H, Divinity 2, and Civ 6... I haven’t tried the Witcher 3 though). The Lite is waaaay

I live the double switch life where the Lite is now my most used Switch, and the old Switch is for the whole family to use (I’ll still use it to play docked occasionally too). This works great for me, since it lets me play more often (while others are using the TV) or on my breaks at work. Just some things to be aware

Yay, another double pay-wall...
