I’m not a big consumer of anime (I’m pretty mainstream), but what I loved about OPM was the writing, the style, and parody. The action is fantastic as well, and is produced like any of the best action anime out there, despite it making fun of the best action anime out there. The main character’s design looks silly

Based on my own 3 year-old’s personal experience, the best kid games we have that she can actually manage and have fun playing (with us or by herself):

Agree 100% with you there. I really enjoyed planning out my teams in Awakening to get the skill inheritance for the kids. It did relegate the parents to mostly nothing but skill donors though. I tried to pretend in Fates that I can’t just go online and buy whatever overpowered skill I can think of!

Agreed - especially how in Fates you can buy skills from other players - it almost doesn’t matter which character you use. SS really makes it matter what you plan and choose (like Joshua as a Swordmaster or an Assassin, or Ross as a Hero, Warrior, or Berserker).

Both are good FE games, with my personal favorite being Sacred Stones. I’m a big fan of the class branching system - where you have two choices of classes at promotion (something that has prevailed since Awakening). Sadly, something Blazing Blade does not have.

It’s definitely more challenging than Awakening - mostly because you can’t grind at all (no reeking boxes or anything like that). The main problem is that there’s a major spike in difficulty after a certain chapter (I believe it’s chapter 13). You’ll know it when you play it, as it’ll probably be the first chapter

I’m replaying Conquest right now as well (played Birthright and Revelation too). Do yourself a favor and play on Casual the first time - the game is great and challenging, but it helps to give yourself a cushion to learn the new nuances of Fates vs. previous Fire Emblem games.

Sadly no, but they do have a pretty sweet classic moogle/chocobo mashup theme.

The Battle of Kaer Morhen.

I have a pretty full schedule as well, but I was able to enjoy and finish Witcher 3 doing these things:

Hey, I just wanted to post to give the iOS port some love. I agree that the GBA version is the definitive version overall, but the iOS version brings some good things to the table:

Just wanted to say that your ‘97 fan translation introduced me to the game (played and finished on my original iMac - the colored ones). Consequently, I also still call him “Butz”. FF7 was the only FF game that I had ever played at that point, and FF5 blew my mind, and hooked me on FF. I’ve also been hooked on

I died at the final boss the first time I played though it on the DS as well. Only, I strangely decided to start the entire game over with those final classes in mind and how my party would look for that last gauntlet. I probably should have just level-grinded more, but oh well.
