My take is she was never into the relationship but (as she confirmed last week) she saw an opportunity to mastermind Roman taking over. But she probably moved on when it was clear he was too fucked up for that.

I don’t think cancellation is a sure thing... it’s an HBO show, not a streaming exclusive, and it skews to an older audience that still watches cable. But I won’t be surprised if it happens.

My guess is she desperately wants this deal to go through and would love to be rid of the right-wing news network. Maybe she knew telling Kendall would give him leverage to keep ATN.

Well, they are also Genesis...

Or the old fashioned way, another adult did most of the work.

I mean if you have a relationship with someone where you prank each other and you both enjoy it, go nuts and that’s fun to watch. But pranking the unsuspecting or people who hate being the butt of a joke? No good.

They’re probably paid $10-20 at most to write reviews now. No time for second drafts!

IIRC they did that because season 7 would have been contract renegotiation time.

The nation’s middle-aged uncles will be sad to learn this “Max” streaming service does not feature a curated selection of 1990s Cinemax softcore.

Not really... Michael Rousselet brought it to the attention of LA film nerds who started seeing it every week and the more famous comedians glommed on to that.

In retrospect finding a stopping point and calling it “series one” to be concluded in a second series later would have been preferable to limping across the finish line, but that probably wouldn’t have gone over so well at the time.

I love the late Mad Men seasons. Probably because my parents divorced and my dad remarried. I think we’re conditioned not to care about a middle aged guy’s second marriage to someone younger (and that’s where a typical story would end) but the show handled it wonderfully and it’s probably the most accurate depiction

It’s hard to get work in TV so nobody wants to risk their job and future prospects. Especially if the part of the story you see is uncomfortable but not to the degree you know for sure the guy would be taken down for it.

How many people got it to get groceries and deliveries during the lockdowns to avoid going to stores? That was probably an incredibly large surge that can’t be repeated and most people on the fence probably would have picked it up then if they were ever going to.

The writers here used to be paid enough to put some time into a review, too. I think they’re all freelancers making almost nothing now and don’t have the time to spend a day laboring over a single article.

They probably have to pay out quite a bit to the actors and producers when the show airs or goes up on streaming. Not saying they did the right thing but it’s not cost-free to air the show just because it’s completed.

I think calling the 6666 online/mail order store to discuss how amazing their steaks are was product placement for sure, yeah. Setting up the other series is par for the course but that call was so awkwardly squeezed in it was ridiculous.

Beth called the 6666 Ranch Taylor Sheridan owns in real life to ask about the “high quality steaks” they actually sell. That’s not even to mention all the table-setting for the 6666 series coming at some point. The product placement is so blatant it’s hilarious.

The way things are going I almost expect Truth Social to end up acquiring Twitter somehow.

Yeah I’m really sad for a guy with 100 million dollars and who lived an amazing life of megastardom too.
