Yeah, it’s a sequel with the same name to the Martin Short “Clifford” movie but this time Clifford has grown up and is in the Charles Grodin role.

I could have sworn that Tom Hanks cutesy apocalypse movie came and went already and was just completely disregarded. I guess we have to wait another month for it to come and go and be completely disregarded.

Netflix probably had to to fire/suspend them but I wouldn’t suggest they were in the wrong if that’s how they chose to make a stand. Protests have to get ugly some times to make a difference.

“Fake it til you make it” seems right, and also the problem nepotism brings. If she got into the industry through her father’s connections she could have been handed a career she wasn’t at all ready for and didn’t take seriously. Obviously I don’t know her to say whether that’s the case or not but on the surface it

I’m going to guess this will be set during the War On Christmas?

Look at the roles James Caan turned down in the 70s and what he took instead, it’s almost Troy McClure-like.

Elf is a movie where almost every scene is way better than the sum of the parts.

I feel like we get one of these stories with Tom Hanks or Bill Murray stumbling into some couple’s wedding photos or something every 6 months. While I’m 85% sure they’re genuine 15% of me is suspicious their management might have scouts running around looking for these free publicity opportunities.

Yeah, people keep saying it should be the actor’s responsibility to check... But most actors aren’t going to know guns, aren’t going to want to learn and have enough on their plate preparing for a scene...

All of these apps should let you cancel until the order is started and give you a short window to correct for mistakes.

I didn’t know that, but it does sum up the character so well I see why it stuck.

He and Jesse Armstrong saw it at the same time. Everyone in the UK has to use the same word-a-day calendar.

Not having to worry too much about fucking up your future prospects is probably one of the primary benefits of being 75.

I thought you Germans just smashed three or four words together whenever you need a new perfect word?

I feel like we’re culturally exhausted by anything Clinton related (Bill OR Hillary.) I’m watching the show for Beanie and because it’s pretty well written but I can’t say I’m enjoying it or able to overcome a lot of the flaws

I guess the first question is who he thinks it “wouldn’t fly” with. It wouldn’t get made, it would get social media backlash...? I think there’s always going to be an audience for a slightly trashy soap about teens with too much money in any era as long as it’s halfway decently made.

The Watchmen HBO series handled the Tulsa Race Massacre well. I don’t think it’s out of the question to tie superheroes to real life tragedies but it is some precarious storytelling territory.

I mean it sounds like the AD and armorer (which are both pretty high level, high expertise jobs, they’re not low-level PAs or anything) actually are likely negligent here and probably aren’t being scapegoated.

Imagine if every “Thug #4" on a set held back filming for an hour because they were handed a prop gun and wanted to double-check for themselves. It’s just not feasible or realistic for every actor to be responsible, and it’s also a level of expertise they’re not going to have and you don’t want amateurs mucking up the

Sure, but only because Rodney Dangerfield is dead.
