The historical revisionism that goes into ‘real men don’t wear skirts’ is astonishing.   Skirts and dresses/robes were the basic form of clothing for centuries.

Of those two it is more accurate. But we who oppose Trump clearly need to bring our A-game to making and repeating catchphrases and soundbites, because that’s a tactic that Trump definitely beat everyone on. We can’t let Trump’s catchphrases be the only or best ones out there.

We’re not talking about all taxes, we’re talking about the highly regressive impact this tariff will have. Regressive systems, that impose relatively higher costs on the poor or middle classes, are something people on the political left have consistently opposed for decades.

No one on the left is proposing that corporations dictate anything. People on the left are doing the traditional thing they do of pointing out that $700 doesn’t mean anything to the rich but is going to hit the poor and middle class hard. 

The traditional left supports tax systems where the wealthiest pay in more to support the society and infrastructure that let them succeed, and providing a basic safety net so that when people are struggling they don’t wind up starving in the streets.
