It’s not a barrier at all. Companies can opt in, but don’t have to, and T-Mobile doesn’t pick and choose. It’s very different from what Comcast is trying to do.

Or an ultraportable laptop. They’re down to 11 inches and 2 lbs now.
The first capable handheld Linux machine? LOL no.
Preparing? No, they’re already here. Rightwing terrorists are viewed as the largest danger by most of law enforcement and have done significantly more damage than other groups in recent years. Key search terms are sovereign citizens, survivalist or rightwing militias.
Nonsense. Kindles are missing several key features like expandable storage, different sizes and waterproofing. They’re perfectly good and Amazon puts them on sale often enough that they’re very popular in some countries, but they aren’t the best by any means.
So are cars, government jobs, hammers and medicines. Should we ban all of those too?
Probably true. So depressing.
It looks like this is just Old Spice. So add ‘male’ to the ‘loner’, I guess. Would it have really killed Twitch’s budget to have some unscented options?
Ah, OK. Yeah, the idea that this is a new idea to law enforcement really blows my mind too. Are they that out of touch with sociology and crime research? Says scary things about the people who are supposed to be enforcing the laws and finding criminals.
Political views are definitely something that people do get fired for. It’s not supposed to be in many countries, but not all countries. Even in the countries where political speech is protected people still get fired for it, it’s just more subtle.
“I’m not really sure how the variety of other victims across the globe really pertain to my rant above. I mean, I get that non-white-cis-males have a short end of the stick, that has little to nothing to do with #GG.”
The rapists who rape in their social circles are also usually repeat offenders too, so I don’t think stranger-rape vs acquaintance-rape is a good distinguisher here.
Yeah, they’re definitely different. But if you expect that most school personnel are going to care about anything other than the bare minimum...you’re really optimistic about the level of care and attention paid to these issues in schools. While that’s kind of heartwarming, I can’t say that I’ve encountered it.
I am honestly puzzled at how this could be a surprise to anyone.
Nah, I was talking about slapping ODD onto kids who are clearly not psychos but have a learning disability that changes their behavior (ex autistic spectrum or ADD) so the schools can get out of dealing with the LD kids by shipping them off to the mentally-ill schools. I can definitely also see how people would abuse…
Scene: Party consisting of a former gang member rogue, disgraced soldier barbarian, a lawful good paladin and an absentminded wizard walk into a bar. The rogue and barbarian exchange glances with the wizard, and then the barbarian grabs the paladin.
I think it’s more a combination of parents needing to work more (=less energy for thinking about and monitoring kids) + better reporting so we actually hear about this stuff + the internet making it easier for misogynistic creeps to find each other and suck others into their madness (ex, Gamersgate).
That is a very oddly specific prediction. I have no idea how you got from this kid’s symptoms, which could come from a host of mental illnesses, to a diagnosis often tacked onto other learning disability diagnoses so that schools/institutions have an excuse to shove the LD kids off with the mentally ill kids or use…
But men never have bad days, psychoses, hormone fluctuations or endocrine issues and everyone knows testosterone is a mood-stabilizer!
1) This is specifically a space to discuss a single issue. Do you drop into articles about gang violence to add the ‘context’ of domestic violence? No, because that article is about a different issue.
