@bbeesley: Well yeah, its definitely not that great for other countries. That said, I think its high time that the world acknowledge the the US owns the internet and can do with it what we please.

@Lupus_Yonderboy: Certainly makes sense. Also it seemed that on every screen shot that I saw, transfers were limited to 1 per day...which would certainly point to a "roll up" scenario.

I honestly have no problem with this whatsoever. A Google / CIA joint venture is…lets call it a good thing. Now, a Google / NSA joint venture is something that I’d be concerned about.

Hate to be a stickler, but if it were simply the fact that data usage is getting "summarized" and posted in the middle of the night, why do I see 2 non-middle of the night entries? At least one of which appearing on a day that already had a late night rendezvous...

@CommentingpointlesslyisMeh: Bah, I liked it better the first way... I can just see it now, a trampy little iPhone out on the corner, turnin tricks for iTunes gift cards...

You’d be surprised how many people can walk together without a lot of space between them...

With the strong effort to limit bandwidth intensive services, applications, etc to WiFi only mode, it should come as no surprise that carrier/phone combos out there that impose less restrictions see more data usage.

@vein11: I know, I was trying (unsuccessfully) to be funny.

@vein11: As someone who works in DC, I can attest to never having seen one roaming the streets here.

@william7: Its really one of the more puzzling things out there on the interwebs at the moment. Surely, Google can produce a better experience and if for whatever reason they couldn’t do it with current staff, they could buy a dozen bleeding edge web development firms without batting an eye.

Maybe somebody could make a set of stencils that can help Google produce a Marketplace web page that doesn’t look like it was made in Frontpage…

Axis and Allies is where its at. By comparison, Risk is a chump’s game.

@wesfx: During our testing, even with ALL the "stuff" cranked up (data syncing, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, 4G, highest brightness, and pounding away at web browsing and calls… it still got considerably more than 2 hours. Getting a solid day out of it is certainly doable and beyond if you manage it well.

While some "fiddling" with settings was necessary, I’ve gotten the Evo to a point where it lasts at least as long as my iPhone 3G when it was new… considerably longer in the months leading up to the swap. A full day a pretty decent usage on a single charge. Not sure what he’s done differently, but my brother just

@Strider-No.9: I disagree. Both will leave a mark as both have made a significant dent in humanity. Yes, the mark of Gates will (and to an extent has already) gone beyond technology, where Jobs’ legacy is almost certainly going to stay. The fact that this article and the various source articles exist is a

@sweetelectro: Dude, you’re going to blow your cover… usually, the folks that Apple pays to post on boards and blogs aren’t as obvious

@ZanHaest: Perhaps... but his likeness to Mother Teresa is startling

@doogie1022: Well... I suppose that would make for a better "reveal"
