@dmbfan33: Did it occur to yo uthat you were holding it wrong?

zim guessing that he was tired of playing xbox outside. It is Alaska for christ's sake...

@Duffey Wolvin: Thanks, it wasnt sarcasm. I was thinking some sort of crazy mouse concept due to the cable and what appeared to be a desk. Are you telling me that they actually produced that thing? Although, the ergonomics dont appear to be significantly better than the current mouse... magic mouse i believe

SimInfrastructure?

I keep seeing people talk about how the connectivity problem that Jobs faced the launch conference isn’t related to this… While I can get behind the "it was a wifi problem" explanation pretty easily and it certainly is what was HE described it as on stage…

@mnerd: Why is that? the iPad has virtually no (qualified) business use. I'd gladdly pay $1000+ for a device that suits my needs better from a productivity standpoint. The ipad is for personal entertainment use...the functions are pretty different and shouldnt necessarily be priced the same.

@Kaiser-Machead: Crazy, unheard of Taiwanese company...maybe. Cisco, still maybe but less so. I just cant figure out if its cool or not.

I'm not sold yet on the speakers at the bottom. Something about it reminds me of a small/cheap LCD tv. I'll patiently await more detail...

@talkingstove: His "personality" issues allowed for a decent measure of success when the audience was relatively small. Unfortunately, it looks like he took the recent success to mean that his genius cannot be questioned. Apple consumers are no longer limited to those that will not question him and he doesnt react

@clearzero: You're right, he's had an (overall) extremely positive impact on the technology at his command. The problem is that depending on how big his head gets, he may push issues like these too far (as is likely the case with the iPhone 4). So far, its been a win win, but time will tell if such a laser-focused

As this all unfolds, I can’t help but notice something:

Everyone seems to put out inflated numbers, but I would be interested to see the impact of:

@DannyBR: My screens stayed put

@evanminn01: I had the same issue, but only with my voicemail widget. Same fix

@sirmeili: I can’t see them doing any of it either. However, if they did... it would (IMO) breathe life into what I think is the beginning of a downturn in their popularity. His emails and absurd positions on things were acceptable when his customers consisted of nothing but firm believers in anything he had to say.

Just confirmed that it does enable 802.11N. Connected to a N network right now.

Even if not a problem for everyone, there were clearly more than a few bad design and production choices made here. Apple doesn’t want to acknowledge any problems. The simple idea that they think that its ok to treat consumers this way is a problem.

@whmm: Wait... are you holding it like Steve is showing in the picture? The one above?

@trs: Well said
