Again, it comes down to a choice. I can turn off the HTC Sense UI on the EVO if I choose to.

@rushbc: The difference is between what devices were bought and what devices "will" be bought. Like I said, I also bought a few of the iphones because they were the best device i could obtain (within reason). All Im saying is thats no longer the case.

@JDickson87: I knew that was pretty much the rule with Microsoft/Ballmer announcements, but i didnt know Apple suffered from the same deal.

@anexanhume: And when it does, he's free to (rather quikly) swap out that battery for a brand spankin new one.

@Eulatos: You sure are excitable little fella aren’t you? My point was that for a time, many people saw the iphone as the most technically advanced, functional and powerful mobile (read: pocket) computing device that you could get your hands on. I was one of them and I absolutely believe that it was true for a few

@ilovetofu: Havent really played with e camera much yet, but I seriously couldnt be more impressed with the damn thing.

@amatecha: Well, its certainly subjective... but right now, im trying to figure out which one you are... a hipster or a fashionista.

I was pretty interested to see how wallstreet responded to the announcement... Apple shares took a noticable hit. Theres a lot about that that fascinates me.

Made my choice last week when I bought the Evo. Honestly, beyond life and death scenarios, I cant imagine any circumstances that would make me give up the evo for iphone (old or new).

@Mikestan: Well, laughs aside... for the first time since i bought an iphone 2 years ago, i havent dropped a single call all day. So, theres that...

@gdlla96: Ahh, you probably missed it since Gizmodo (apparently) couldnt write anything meaningful about it when it was released, but theres this new phone called an Evo 4G...

@Augure: I'm not seeing too much objectivity here... just page after page of "how cool the iphone is". I honestly thought that the veil of itardation had been lifted...

@Bo_Diddly: Because if they dont, they wont get the "privledge" to attend events in the future. Its some sort of mildly retarded, pavlovian conditioning...

@rocketman5020: In a video that set the bar for hilarity pretty high, it was indeed the funniest moment

@Mikestan: LOL... Makes me wonder if anyone sells bumper stickers (ala my kid is an honor student) that say something along the lines of "My Evo 4g can is smarter and can beat up your iphone".

I get it... they can make fun of themselves, but people like Ellen cant... sweet

The reality is that the sales numbers of this phone reflect the shift in acceptance of Steve Jobs' "vision" for how we're supposed to live our lives.Yeah, there will be those that still have blinders on, but this phone completely overwhelms my previous iphone (and what would have been my next iphone) in both technical
