Netflix also has the sublime “Escape to the Country” where country homes are viewed and in the 3 seasons I watched, only one family made an offer.

When the blood was demanded, they didn’t know the identity of the victim. Its just happenstance that it was a reserve officer.

The cops wanted to find something in the guy’s blood so he could be blamed for the accident, rather than the high speed car crash that essentially caused the accident.

At the University I went to, there was a serial rapist around and women were told (informally) call the town cops, not the university cops. Rapist was apprehended- by the town cops, on campus.

Maybe he was calling 911.

Its been such a weird week. I work 4 days a week. We are going through a big transition and lots of people think they are my boss when they aren’t. so I woke up too early on Weds morning, and I shake if I don’t sleep enough so I called in to say I was sleeping more but would come in. I’m cleaning out a room that holds craft crap and photographs. its about halfway done.

We have two cats I got from freecycle, a pekingese we inherited from a friend’s mother and another cat from the human society. And 5 chickens that we raised from chicks - they came free with a bag of chick starter!

I only could stand half of season 1 but I read the recaps and had an intelligent-ish conversation about it with a die hard fan.
