That’s my family car. I love to drive it, it holds a ton of stuff, and the kids love the back seats. Much more rewarding than a 9-3 combi.

Nobody *can* steal my SAABs. Mine are manuals with the ignition in the proper location (by the shifter). Even the guys at the tires shop can’t figure out how to start it, get it into gear, or remove the key thanks to the nifty shift lockout and reverse ring.
My worst was a bad one. I was reinstalling the top end on my ‘87 FJ60. It was around 1am and I had a friend keeping me company while I worked. I had the manual out so I could read torque values. Ugh, CP! The ‘97 9000 is a fantastic car but this one is not. The price is way too high, even for a decent example. This one has the wrong seats, wrong tranny, and looks like it had the wrong owner for some period as well.
Minis look good on a 99. Tri-spokes are classic for 900-9000s but I think Incas *really* carry the Saab mojo on the 99.
NP. Wrong tranny but not a bad tranny. The a/c issue is no different than on any other car: spend the $1500-1700 and be done with it. I own two 9-5 wagons (four, if you include parts cars) and they are wonderful cars. Of course, mine have manual transmissions. I recently had the a/c done in my DD. Sure, it hurt…
I am frequently contacted by scammers when selling cars on CL. I had an odd message from someone interested in a beat-up, rusted out ‘63 Ghia ‘vert I was selling. I was very careful in the ad to make it clear that this was no diamond in the rough or miraculous overlooked barn find (barn find, yes, but no miracles).…
