I mean, we had an Oppo/Jalopnik reader meet in Vancouver this last weekend with people driving from LA or Saskatchewan to come.

Many, many math students do.

I think EV conversions, period. Like older cars with not-so-great engines getting electric running gear. I’d love an electric E30 or something like that.

I didn’t take your original comment as anti safari. I agree though if anything David Tracey deserves a raise.

“Subtle “more sidewall” is a slippery slope that leads to mud tires. I see what you’re doing...”

And if Tesla wins, somehow, we can have a rematch:

Yes! I just recently had the pleasure of driving a ‘72 MG and it was an absolute joy. I was quite impressed that it had very little trouble keeping up with modern traffic and it thoroughly enjoyed being wound out. I’ve driven it a few times now (borrowing from a friend) and that smile that I had plastered to my face

Most of their vehicles drive very nicely. The Hellcat Challenger for example is a far better corner carver than anyone gives it credit for. It’s no 911, but it’s grip is god-damn impressive for a 4400lb Muscle car, not to mention it’s ability to put that 707hp to the ground.

The single manufacturer with the most “enthusiast” models available, yet they never seem to get anything but hate.

“Brother, they are lying to youuuuuu”

That is simultaneously the cutest and saddest picture I’ve ever seen.

I could see GM doing this, pulling a Ford GT, even though we’ve all suspected a mid-engine Cadillac has been in the works along with the Vette.

I took 15 minutes and did a quick sketch of what this vehicle might look like. Maybe if I get some extra time I’ll repost a better one. I took styling cues from the Escala

6MT as an option for any engine on this car would be good enough.

It was a constant, low- to mid-pitched whirring that droned

The closest thing to a car club that I’ve ever been a part of, is the gang I run with at Stateline Rallycross. They’re a fabulous bunch of maniacs who show up to and put on rallycross events.  Everybody there is friendly and willing to help when needed. I’ve been hammering my $140 RallyMetro for two years now, and you

If they’re all widebody, none of them are widebody.

Poor Ford GT can’t find a home.

Yay!
