Because they’re aimed at little kids spending their parents’ money #1 and #2 it’s gambling. If you knew exactly what you were buying it’d be way different.

Step 1: Create a non-profit

Feelings don’t pay the bills.

Admirable but stupid. You won’t be able to sustain anything like that. You always plan for profit to save up for a rainy day.

hold on - let me work it, put my thing down, flip it and reverse it.

His tournament took a year off and he increased costs from the year where he got 670 attendees.

From the sounds of it this awful, awful conclusion was entirely the result of a series of poor business planning.

Today’s lesson:

“I don’t run tournaments with the goal of making money in mind, the goal is just to not lose money,”

Well there’s your problem

Blockbuster had to pay for special rights to games and directly, they didn’t just buy them retail at Best Buy.

I mean, his complaint is that this is going to beat the hell out of the games, passing them through so many hands. And that’s a fair complaint, especially for the disc-based media.

Sounds like a fantastic idea that’ll get enormously hampered by issues with stock.

Note to self, do not buy any more pre-owned games from Gamestop.
By which I mean, their pre-owned game stock is probably going to get quite beat up, making them less attractive to people looking to buy and hold.
Also, this seems like it will get progressively less useful as it gains in popularity? As more people use it,

It’s not provable. There isn’t security camera footage of him walking in on this woman’s (note I am calling her a woman where he consistently, repeatedly calls her a girl) shower. What we *can* prove is that she made the accusation. And he has a history of defensively discussing other sexually aggressive actions (see

I particularly “enjoy” the line about “When I kiss a girl I don’t ask first because I don’t wear a pocket protector.” So I guess consent is for nerds?

Yeah, this incident is the big reason why I have no problem believing that he did this and not that he has a crazy ex-girlfriend. Grabbing someone’s private parts to show dominance without their consent is not okay. And then he goes out of his way to try to act like he did nothing wrong.

You can’t claim to be not believing either story if you’re proceeding on an assumption that only comes from his side of the story (i.e. that she was with him for career reasons and that she was toxic/manipulative).

I don’t disagree about toxic people. Again though, it doesn’t have anything to do with judging the truth

In a related incident, Malka bragged about groping a woman who asked him to buy her a drink in Spain, and then aggressively defended it. He comes off as a total dick:

The “she/he should have done X” armchair analysis is not a reason to discount anyone’s claim of a sexual assault and is entirely exogenous to the truth of their claim. People have already explained time and time again why people don’t necessarily automatically break things off with an abuser/assaulter and whether or

Wouldn’t matter since her allegations weren’t the only ones, Satan.
