Don't get me wrong, the whole system is amazing. I mean, we're building walking robots.

Watching, kinda cool, don't see the big improvement over BigDog untill 1:10. Creepy...

In other news, NASA scientists are reportedly studying a new 'tsunami launch mechanism' to cheaply get large objects to orbit cheaply. More news at 7.

I like this one better, posted hear about a year (?) ago. Reminds me that we do actually live in the future.

Bravo. Oh, and picture

Thanks for the good answer, informative. I was thinking about the solar powered plane at the time.

That is the best news of all time, ever.

The first reason's a good one, the second one could be dealt with. After all, solar powered planes fly at night

that's a really obvious idea that I can't see the problem with. Solar panels/focusers to heat air inside to greater than outside = lift. These things fly above cloud cover therefore sun supply isn't a problem. Some automated system to maintain amount of heating to maintain altitude and batteries supplied by solar

Lunar X prize? It's only $30 million though

Caption competition!!

I have neither read Plato or played Call of Duty. It's one of the quotes upon entry to the Imperial War Museum in London and has always been a favorite.

50ish years ago China and the USA/UN fought to a stalemate in Korea, just saying.
