I love blanket statements! After getting married at 24 (and 23, for my dad), my parents are still together 35 years later. With 4 kids who are all less-than-perfect. It's definitely no longer the norm, but it doesn't mean it's wrong for everyone.

I asked my healthcare provider whether I could use the Diva cup after getting Paragard, and they did not recommend it. I'd rather pay for tampons than risk dislodging my IUD, so I'll wait till later in life get my Diva cup on.
