TSSC, like most shows that debuted during the season of the writers strike, never truly recovered from the enforced hiatus. Might well have gone the distance otherwise.

Genisys is silly, but perfectly watchable, as are 3 and 4. Much like Robocop and Highlander, there's very little room to take the whole concept if (as these films insist on doing) they stick with the same set of characters every time.
