I saw one or two that looked suspect. People in CA reviewing it yesterday after 'visiting it last summer,' etc. but Yelp actually already responded saying they didn't think anything was amiss about them. Oh well.

Friendly reminder at this juncture that it's possibly to flag obviously fake Yelp reviews for removal.
I would say you're right that Roseboro seemed set on fighting, but this is still the only time I can think of in baseball history where someone used a bat like this. It really seems like an act of unprecedented extreme violence that can't really be explained/justified away.
I truly enjoyed this piece, but it seems to be lost in this interpretation that Marichal, however calm a guy he normally was, still hit Roseboro in the face with a fucking bat.
He blocked me. He tweeted out how Jared Allen's "resurgence" was thanks to an MMA workout Glazer showed him. I said something along the lines of "you need to realize how ridiculous this makes you look" and he blocked me immediately with zero comment. Seemed unnecessary.
I got blocked by Bruce Arthur after the Marathon bombing manhunt. I was a Boston native living in AZ, closely following the proceedings, and when they captured the second bomber Arthur immediately tweets out his own article about how unsettling he found it when people celebrated Osama bin Laden's death. I replied with…
I thought this was Henry Rollins
That helmet snap still breaks my brain. Almost as much as when Simmons wrote that Jim Rice used to routinely snap his bat on check swings.
Zany!
Hey, remember how zany and ironic this take was?
Re: Brooks in for Besler vs. Ghana, I think that Klinsmann has stated before that he believes that Brooks and Gonzalez each back up a specific guy (obviously Brooks backs up Besler, Gonzalez backs up Cameron), so I don't think it's necessarily indicative that he prefers one over the other.
Wasn't endorsing the behavior cited in the article. Pointing out that others seemed to be fine with something does not mean that I am as well.
Clearly did not read closely at all. Egg on my face.
I'm confused as to how this proves that there's been a controversy for years? Seems like every example you cited shows people were basically fine with this type of behavior.
JOKES ARE HARD
JOKES ARE HARD
Nice touch for him to point at the sky after diving to draw a penalty.
HAHAHA I KNOW RIGHT JOKES ARE SO HARD
Brendan Gallagher led the NHL with eight goaltender interference penalties this season. Five guys tied for second with three (including Montreal's Danny Briere). Might be worth noting in an article about Canadiens complaining about contact with goalies.
Anyone else think, while perhaps not excusing Lucic's actions in the handshake line, it's pretty lame for Weise to a) cry to the media immediately afterwards and then b) not divulge what was said? What's to stop people from accusing any other player of this? Also, is it possible for any of these things to be discussed…
