At 6', 200# and broad shoulders, I don’t fit well in many convertibles. I went to Audi just to see if the A5 was comfortable even before I’d start to think about affordability. The saleslady asked for my license, and handed me the keys. That’s how you charm a potential customer. Granted I’m a 50 year old with a…
Others have already posted it, but I think it deserves another share.
“No retreat, no surrender!”
1. Glad to see Jason still works here.
>A new cinematic trailer for the game showed a group of treasure hunters fighting against what could be demons, or private equity executives.
A corollary on test drives - it can be quite worth it to just rent the vehicle for a day before you buy. Test drives are necessarily limited and I’ve never seen one where they let you take it on an expressway and get it up to 80MPH. Yet that’s how I’m going to spend 1/2 my time driving it.
I’m working with my local dealership to try to buy a GTI. Got a competitive quote from a (less local) dealership, told the local dealership “I’d like to test drive a GTI. If I like it, I’d like to buy it from you, if you can match or beat this price from the less-local dealership”.
I had a dealer do that to me on a WRX when I was 27. This was in 2011 and supply was severely limited due to the aftermath of the earthquake in Japan, so their was a wait list for the car. It showed up, they called me, had to run credit and go through the deal before I got to drive it.
“Why would a dealer do this?" Because they hate you
Had to start searching around after reading this. The entire story just kept getting worse, and this article left some of the worst parts out. Their oatmeal stout was good, but not THAT good. Ok, gotta be honest, it is almost that good. Time to find myself a replacement though. Plenty of other good breweries out there.
That dude hates Bernie more than I could hate the hypothetical murderer of my child.
Obama’s greatest strength is also his biggest weakness. He’s always the optimist, believing in the best of humanity, even as humanity fails repeatedly. It was what we needed in 2008, it what we needed in 2012, it was what we needed in 2016.
Let’s take a quick look at some supposedly “Cancelled” people:
How brave of Barack Obama to spout right wing talking points and condemn something only shithead conservatives with a persecution complex believe exists.
Not a popular opinion, but i’m not overly impressed. I’ve always resented his tendency to talk down or condescend to the left, especially toward black people. Remember how Jesse Jackson went off on him (“I wanna cut his nuts off”) for that tendency? It was a well deserved scolding. I think Barack should aim that kind…
He’s right...and kinda wrong. Yes, I wish that the internet mobs would maybe consider that things are a bit complicated and that—in specific cases—people do need room to understand rather than be shut down.
HOWEVER, there are for too many instances in which internet outrage has actually done the work that people who…
Enjoy them while they’re allowed.
