I like you, Christian. You think critically.
Really? Atheism has been equally as oppressive as major religions slaughtering & causing genocide? trololol... Find even one example of people doing this in the name of atheism (or even atheists being oppressive! Just some atheist internet dicks being dicks doesn't count as 'oppressive')
Being agnostic and atheist is not mutually exclusive, or on a spectrum. People say "I'm agnostic because I'm not SURE there's no god." But "I'm atheist" and "I'm agnostic" answers two different questions.
I COULD KISS YOU.
Seriously. Europe has 10x more atheists per capita than we have. Although Putin's trying to Christian-orthodox-it-up, almost all of my Russian extended family is atheist, and China & Japan are pretty strong on that front, too. Much of the world laughs at how long our atheist 'revolution' is taking, TBH.
I don't attend atheist conferences and the like, but I understand the importance behind it. Public representation is important for marginalized groups, in this case maybe a kid who grew up in a religious household and not believing in god sees Richard Dawkins or the like in the media and feels like he's not alone. Can…
Also, these pansies should come to NY — my alma mater, University at Buffalo [UB] didn't even give off for Good Friday, but did for the Jewish holidays. All SUNYs did this. I think it makes sense when there is a sizeable population of another religion — i.e. Dearborn, MI residents should have Muslim holidays off.…
True. Their persecution should be tear-jerking, yet black people born into crippling poverty saying racism kinda sucks should get over it.
My own username is a spoiler. Heheheheheehehehe.
True, I actually forgot he was Asian... and the little boy who did his voice. I once watched an interview with him, and he was so cute!
To these people, "expressing an opinion against" = war on, as long as it's an opinion against their beliefs. Atheists actually *are* oppressed by the ultra-religious in pockets of this country, yet even we don't call it a 'war' when religious people hand out pamphlets saying nonbelievers go to hell (then again,…
Not even speaking genetalia, here. HANDS! Holding HANDS! (Which in Europe, straight people of the same sex do all the time, but whatev)
"I'm not going to let two women stand up there and hold hands and let my child be aware of it."
I like that this a "non-cultural" movie and it stars a black girl. Meaning: usually, when a PoC stars in main cartoon roles, it's to tell a story related to their culture. Mulan, Princess and the Frog, Aladdin, Prince of Egypt, what have you, were all taking place in each of those respective cultural settings and so…
I would agree that this is an important discussion to have, and I don't think the 'rules' you're stating even contradict what this shirt says — I don't think "I don't make the rules" necessarily means "I will never give advice to you". And I don't think this shirt is saying "I don't make *any* rules in the house for…
The father is just addressing the rules on HER body, what she's comfortable someone actively doing to her. "You"(the boy) don't make the rules" meaning "You don't make the rules regarding HER body" and this is understood because of line 4, rather than what you seem to be interpreting it as ("You don't make the rules…
Thanks! My HP fandom is forever.
