How about a choice to not see them at all, ever?

Oh, we've been serviced. Give me ads for a streaming service I already pay for out of nowhere without giving me any heads up that what I pay for is changing, tell everyone to calm down, and post a dollar sign for good measure to remind me of my place. Yes. I feel served.

There's nothing well and good about ads in pay services period. It's why Hulu will never get my money.

All snark aside (is this possible?), at what point is it acceptable to be concerned that my paid for streaming service is now showing me things I don't want to see? I suppose a short add before making a phone call would be fine, as well.

Are you saying that wealth prevents all struggles?

I just can't quit you, Lars.

Is this James Hetfield?

14 years and all you've managed to add to your rebuttal is a thesaurus? Did elegant prose substitute for substance with your high school debate team? "Your fresh approach" and "novel approach" in the same sentence? If you won't share in my empty verbosity will you at least share in the irony?

Yeah, you sound like a real fan.

Don't worry. I didn't get my first slave until I turned thirty.

Fantastic! I had fun typing words back and forth. You responded with just enough context to convince me you were reading my posts all the way through.

Cool story.

You keep ignoring a crucial part of my argument, and it's getting frustrating considering you seem like an intelligent person. Consequently, I'm going to have to assume that you don't actually know of any artists struggling because of piracy, only assuming those people exist. I am only responsible for my individual

At some point one of these superheroes will start watching TV, sparing themselves from at least a season of needless anguish.

Right, metaphor. The weed smoker was the analogy. Oversimplification is the cost of using analogies or metaphors in order to discuss something like the effects of internet piracy. One thing the drug industry and the entertainment industry have in common is their ability to benefit monetarily from illegal activity.

Not sure what the general effects of piracy are and your snowflake analogy is lost on me. I'm not an expert, but internet piracy is likely a touch more complicated than you give it credit for. But, I really enjoy analogies, and I reckon' that one would really get a crowd going at the next SOPA hearing. Water

I'll take your word for it. However, I am not an aggregate. So while I lack the ability to speak for the group at large, I have intimate knowledge regarding one of its members. And that person says their piracy has led to very real purchases that otherwise would not have happened. Piracy nudges an otherwise

If I pirate content they don't get my money for that particular exchange, but they might capture my attention which may very well result in a monetary exchange at some later date. At the very least, I will frequent the places where fans gather, exposing myself to solicitation from advertisements, finding new material,
