I thought it was seeing two smoking hot redheads engaged in a vicious catfight that distracted him.

I just somehow wish they could get Woodhouse involved. But alas, he's probably alone somewhere dehydrated in the Tunt mansion.

Agreed. That must be the "holy shit!" moment the show likes to close a season with.

That wouldn't work because with Catelyn her hatred toward the Freys is incredibly personal since she witnessed her own son and future grandson slaughtered before her.

I wasn't really sold on the last guy's acting chops. Since he's going to get intimate with Dany later it makes sense to get someone that can do more than just smirk. The new one seems serviceable.

Outstanding episode and it was smart to focus on a handful of stories rather than check in on everyone.

I think point 2 is spot-on. It's almost comical how utterly detached "Clark" is with Martha during their moments together. Although I guess he's always presented himself as stiff with that persona.

I sure wish Melissa Joan Hart had a camera phone, Instagram and lack of modesty back in her Clarissa Explains It All-Sabrina days.

The showdown with Joe's group was easily the best scene of the season. Rick joins Jack Bauer and Dufrense from 'Black Sails' in the club of TV heroes that graphically ripped another dude's throat out with their teeth.

They would have to speed things up a bit since I'd like to see how they react to the situation in the USSR towards the end of the 80s as things really start to change with Gorbachev and his glasnost and perestroika.

Oh that's right, it was the Mossad agent. Nevertheless Stan seems like he would be thorough enough to want to talk to all cops on patrol in that area of DC at the time. And while the cops thought they were just three drunks, Stan would be suspicious given the timing.

So I'm trying to think if there is any reason for Stan to drop his investigation into the disappearance of Anton.

That's a good point. I think Richard explained that the healing process in the Temple pool would erase his memories of Sayid shooting him, but that would also mean he would have to have forgotten the three years he knew Jim LaFleur and Juliet.

Well it means we have to accept that in 1996 Daniel was a professor at Oxford College at the age of 19 when he met time-tripping Desmond.

HBO and AMC seem to hog all the Emmy love even though FX has put out equally high-quality television.

Absolutely. Philip obviously knew it was coming and he didn't begrudge him the attempt.

At least Elizabeth got to let down that naive sailor easy. Pity he didn't get laid, though. Oh well, I'm sure he'll take comfort in thinking he did a good deed.

I think she's always been suspicious person, but she quickly figured out the Governor was lying about what happened to those Army soldiers due to the inconsistencies in his story.

Is it really any dumber than cars that have been laying derelict for almost two years having usable gasoline?

Just about every plot on this show is contrived in some manner, but last week the show actually took risks and 'went there' but having Carol do the right thing and put Lizzie down after she murdered her own sister in a fit of insanity. It was disturbing material that I felt was handled well.
