Depending on when you came up, this guy was ALWAYS around, and I mean that as a compliment.

Most ironic point goes to all the conservative commentators who questioned whether such a heavily armed presence was necessary when (they claim) a surrender could’ve easily been negotiated through Stone’s lawyer... Yes, conservative commentators were questioning law-enforcement overreach! After years of responding to

Could be misremembering, but I’m sure way back in the day I saw an interview with him, and he made the ominous prediction (paraphrasing from memory) “Years from now people will look back on me and what I did and it’ll be considered tame.”

That’s exactly where I went... especially after the kid claimed the photo REALLY shows him praying.

I liked this show and wondered what became of it. I still quote the episode that was clearly supposed to be the “Vice” reporters looking for El Chapo.

Two years ago she released a book literally titled “Settle for More.”

I saw that photo and initially thought ‘why is the AV Club covering the Mitt Romney stuff?’

Finally finished up THE AMERICANS. To me it was a very satisfying finale (I noticed that I had somehow drank three beers during the final episode, for instance... of course I did rewind a few scenes a few times). Obviously it didn’t tie up all the plot threads, but I don’t think it could have. They did a good job of

No, as in, No More Lies.

Yes, just speaking on a gut level, I don’t want there to be a compromise of any kind because if Trump doesn’t get anything I think it really will start to erode his base (and this is coming from someone who’s been saying for two years that it’s damn near impossible to erode his base).

When “Revolutionary Road” came out I was planning on seeing it and even read the novel because I think Richard Yates was enjoying a little posthumous reassessment at the time.

Even that he has something stuck to his shoe, apparently.

This whole controversy is, to me, another reminder of how much things can change, and not just what’s acceptable and unacceptable, but more how sociopolitical movements can switch.

“...Their existence shouldn’t even be acknowledged.”

I misread the headline and for a second thought, “They’re remaking ‘Up the Academy’!? Holy shit are they scraping the ‘80s nostalgia barrel.”

As if the month weren’t chaotic enough, and the week especially so, I found out on Tuesday that a crew would be painting my home’s interior on Thursday and Friday (something I was unaware was coming), causing us to spend already bifurcated evenings moving furniture, schlepping things to the basement, vanishing the dog,

Wasn’t Ted Nugent , a person who has been investigated by the Secret Service for threats against Barack Obama, recently a guest of honor at the White House?

There! Opening weekend! In strikingly empty suburban theater...!
