Good point. Especially with “young people,” survey results can be tainted by under what circumstances they’re surveyed.

Yes, we were watching a show that played a clip of Warrant’s “Cherry Pie” video. The video vixen walks by and the band, dressed as fireman, all hold a fire hose that sprays in her direction.

By all accounts they’re horrible people, and the band has certainly not aged well... but, “Dr. Feelgood” is one of the great hard rock albums.

I’d have to pick Marcy Playground. They’re only known for “Sex and Candy,” but they were an interesting band that deserved more attention. By the time their second album came out, “Shapeshifter,” they were written off as a OHW... Too bad, although personally it made me feel like I was enjoying something no one else

Well, I can’t recall a time when what’s real and what’s not real has been less relevant... so, why not?

If you’ve never heard of it, I recommend tracking down Jah Wobble’s “The Sun Does Rise” with her doing a guest vocals spot. Just a great song that really illustrates her vocal talent, and (to my knowledge) completely forgotten.

And I guess my reality doesn’t include me using HTML tags on Kinja.

It’s easy to attribute it to being old and not “with it,” but I think there’s still a deeper level of bullshit there, i.e., how certain media seem to tell us what our reality is, vs. what our reality <i>really</i> is.

Agreed.

I was a staunch defender of “Family Guy” up until 2010, when suddenly it was like a switch was thrown and I got why everybody bagged on it. Don’t even know what to attribute the change to (it kind of reminded me of an old Onion brief, about a guy who’s a fan of Limp Bizkit and then one day realizes that they actually

“The Post”... of course it was good (didn’t really understand this site’s somewhat bad review).

That... seriously sounds awesome.

I laughed at this... and I somewhat hate myself for doing so.

So basically the only thing that can ever stop Jason is litigation.

I was actually just listening to a podcast about 8 yesterday (Kill by Kill). Basically the original idea was for the boat ride to be 10 mins, and then the rest of the time Jason running amok in Manhattan. But it came down to money, and the budget was so strapped that the Manhattan part kept shrinking while the boat

Part 2 is my favorite. Although this is all so subjective (e.g. it all could depend on which one you saw at what age), I find that one to be the scariest. I think because it’s one of the only F13's that’s somewhat grounded in reality.

Patty Hearst was unquestionably a victim, but she also had victims. Not even talking about the bank robbery, but rather the sporting goods store owner who was trying to stop his property being stolen and Hearst unloading an automatic firearm at him and his store as he dove for cover... that sounds scary as fuck.

blah blah blah economic anxiety blah blah blah feel they’ve been burned by the system too many times blah blah blah feel they’ve been forgotten blah blah blah.
