The Wii U was not a compelling product, which was why it didn’t sell. If the Wii U was awesome and a big hit then the COD would have done fine (Wii CODs did quite well). Plus, their COD wasn’t bringing anything to the table. The Switch version would be.

I expect the Japanese market to move from Vita to Switch.

Real Call of Duty in handheld form? COD Vita, despite the fact that it was a terrible piece of junk, was one of the most successful games on the platform.

The Switch isn’t “just” a console though. I bet a lot of people would love to play, say, Mass Effect on the go, even at reduced fidelity.

Except I am not saying that everyone decided to go support. I am more like saying “team needs support, let me pick the support guy I am best at” yet I get flamed because it doesn’t match “the meta.”

Let’s be honest here, the launch lineup for the Switch is objectively weak.

“Changes to the achievement system” is considered “vital info”?

I am pretty sure the Wii sold more software units than any console in history.

And at lower levels of the ladder, everyone just wants to copy the “meta.”

We are going around in circles. Look at this article and tell me why any one person on a team has the authority to decide how each person will play. This article disproves that notion.

If that guy can do everything the team needs with Sombra then, no, it is not any different (and this is what seems to happen here). For the nth time, people play the game not the characters. A person who demands everyone play the character they want them to is an asshole, period.

“Team needs” is not the same thing as yelling at people because they picked a player they did not want you to pick. Just because some loud asshole is harassing you doesn’t mean he defines what the team needs.

Well, are we even sure there will be a shortage?

Except it’s not about “team needs.” It’s about being harassed because you won’t go into whatever unoriginal strategy that is popular at the moment.

This idea only makes sense if you think the characters play the game. They don’t. People play them.

yea why would a company advertise their new product?

How can a game that isn’t out yet overrated?

brutal

“Players seem to agree: Sombra is not typically understood to be a competitively ‘viable’ character.”

Losers don’t like winners. That’s a fact. I hate the Yankees and I hate Yankees fans even more. THERE ARE SEVEN YEAR OLDS IN NEW YORK WHO HAVE NEVER SEEN THE YANKEES WIN IT ALL! But shit if my team won as much as they did? I’d be the same asshole I hate. That’s how it is.
