because the people that bought it did so in a good faith act that they would have a playable product? and i do not care about eulas, thats just a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo we click to play the damn game we just paid the bastards for. this is one reason i despise games as services.

Well that’s a bummer...despite 2Ks nonexistent marketing and Pitchford’s inability to keep his mouth shut and sour people on it before it was even out, Battleborn is a pretty damn good game that deserved better than what it got.

When a game can no longer be played when the server shut down, it should be required that they release the server software to the public.

Yep, fuck ‘em. They can’t even pretend it’s covering their ass, it’s just evil for evil’s sake.

He wasn’t apologizing to us. Definitely not to Blitzchung. He was apologizing to investors for not being able to figure out how to keep the whole thing quiet without upsetting China.

Sports have been, are and will always be political, E or otherwise.

People died so we can speak out when ever the fuck we want. Use it or lose it. History and all those young people being slaughtered in war isnt some game. They gave their god damn lives for us.

He’s wearing a LGBT pin, will he get a 6 month suspension for using his platform to push politics?

“But we’re still not gonna do anything because Kotick wants more money he’s never going to spend and never going to enjoy.”

Of course, which is why this apology is nothing.

Translation: “We’ve realized that the western market share is more valuable than the Chinese market, so we’re kinda sorry I guess.”

Did they reverse the suspension completely? If not, then their words are hollow. “We’re sorry, but we’re not going to do anything about it. Please give us another chance, even though we didn’t give anyone else one.”

God, I hope this is a joke.  He doesn’t even understand what they did wrong.

As someone who’s family was disappeared from the face of the earth by communist regime, I do not accept it. Blizzard enforced the will of a communist power that routinely makes citizens vanish from the face of the earth every day without anything resembling due process / justice / a fair trial. Doing business is one

Too little, too late. Blizzard can continue to eat my entire ass until the sun explodes.

A vague speech. Never mentioning hong kong or china or even the dude they punished.

Call me cynical, but doing this only at the beginning of Blizzcon just seems like they are trying to stave off any talk of it so that it won’t overshadow their announcements. I desperately hope people still flood the Q&As and whatnot.

What a lackluster apology, completely undermining the core issue in a company’s leaders aquiescing to political standard imposed by a thin skinned autocracy and firing those who dare speak truth to it.

Are the commentators still being punished for being bystanders?
