Proper headline: Bungie Provides Non-Answers and Avoids Our Questions on Destiny.
Also, on story missions: “We’re not talking about the number of story missions. It’s really hard to quantify that.”
...Give me a freakin’ break. Look, we all know that the “expansion” will be just as devoid of story as the rest of the…
Is this a joke?
Yes! Glad we wound up having good conversation! :)
Yeah, and I was one of the people who used to champion Bungie and Destiny before its release, really, go look at my “discussions” from 2013. :/ I was burned, hard. Learned my lesson with pre-orders (Don’t).
I do apologize if I came off as derogatory towards you, semajaral, that was not my intention.
Absolutely is. ESO had a great subscription model, WOW still does. Destiny is rather gross imitation.
WHAT IF I NEVER HAD FEET.
WHAT THEN.
Evolve is almost comical in this regard, though I find myself completely disgusted when I look at Destiny.
Not quite, what I meant by that is how Bungie avoids calling Destiny an MMO (yet sees no problem with borrowing the worst aspects of one), but essentially requires a subscription fee from the player if they wish to progress. To own this DLC, you have to own all of the previous ones. You can’t just pick and chose, you…
When it comes to players being angry with Bungie and with Destiny, entitlement has nothing to do with any of it. People were sold a barren, shallow platform for DLC that operates on a hushed subscription model.
YEP. It’s ridiculous, isn’t it? Total, brazen, hubris. Complete disrespect and disregard for the people aspect of their customers.
Go to the Bungie forums, and you won’t have to look far. It’s laughable, really. I fully expect them to come here, though.
My mistake, then. Stay far, far away from it. The Bungie forums if full of blind apologists who will declare any dissenting opinion or comment “crying.”
Do you mean the players who purchased the CE versions of vanilla Destiny? In that case, LOL
...No.
On top of that, The Taken King, the new “expansion,” requires you to have purchased both The Dark Below AND House of Wolves just to play it.
Destiny is not an MMO, but they most-certainly have a subscription model at work with this scam of a DLC platform.
Waddle on back to the Bungie forums. Calling people with well-warranted negative opinions about Destiny “crybabies” doesn’t really work here.
Wish I could recommend this twice. The Bungie that everyone trusted, loved, and really had in mind when they bought Destiny, is dead. This new Bungie doesn’t value their players in the slightest, they are avenues for profit without faces, and nothing more, and this mindset has shown in everything they’ve done with…
Thing about that is, the people who made Halo the game it is, Joseph Staten, Marty O’Donnell, they’re no longer with Bungie (one driven out, the other fired).
I think it’d take more than a few hard knocks, the old Bungie that made Halo died a long time ago.
It’s rather hilarious to see people still blindly defending Bungie and Destiny after repeated, brazenly-shown acts of outright arrogance and exploitation of the consumer. You’re not going to get a special treat for being a good doggy and defending them, for defending $40 for content that was clearly cut from the…
