The melee mechanic has me very interested as well. Each class is going to have their own unique melee abilities. From what has been said and seen, the Hunter will be able to use their knife to perform takedowns, stealth attacks, or even throw their knife.

I've had my heart set on being a human Hunter since day one. In

Please, do contribute! There are nice bits of info that have had my drooling over Destiny. Your non-ranging would be greatly appreciated. ;)

For example: Zooming in with the exotic sniper rifle Closing Time give the player a form of active camouflage.

Absolutely! The forums are in a bit of a chaotic state at the moment, we have fans who seem to rage over the slightest thing there, no matter! The community (when you look past the recent influx of trolls) is awesome. DeeJ is commonly sharing little bits of information with the community. :)

I can attest to this. Some days I'll go into a dark room and move a flashlight around a potato.

You're welcome! Spread these around!

Not military, and I have worked in a few forms of foreign aid. This most recent one though was a mission trip to Honduras, I had to take a prescription of Malarone as a preventative measure...the region I was visiting was one of the high-risk zones. I'm glad I took that, because I came back with a nasty E. Coli

Destiny's Hunter class is heavily inspired by the Dúnedain Rangers from The Lord of the Rings. I cannot wait to play this game.

Darn right they do. I had to take them as a preventative measure. I experienced one of the common side effects (sudden, severe sharp headache which lasts for only a second or two). Man, those headaches were bad.

This image leaves me as confused and feeling slightly violated as much as your screen name. Malaria pills are awful.

I always felt like this was quite telling of game developers' feelings about the kinect, even those snuggled up in bed with this EA/Microsoft ordeal.

You're not, I feel that Destiny and The Division are leaps and bounds more impressive and innovative than this game.

Both consoles will be getting exclusive content with MGS V, so it's better, but still not quite the same. Also, there have actually been MGS games on the Xbox before (MGS2: Twin Snakes, MGS3 HD).

There will probably be a bundle or two out by that time, so, yes!

I'd imagine hacking on the PC version would kill their megaserver build for the game as well. I'm willing to bet that it's a fragile infrastructure that Bungie doesn't want to risk losing any amount of control over.

Last generation that may have been the case. The PS4 architecture actually makes it easier to program for than the Xbone this time around (Thanks, ESRAM, you're CELL tech all over again).

I wouldn't blame them for either of those reasons you've stated, but I'm going to say its more than likely a combination of option 1

Not exactly the same since Destiny isn't a PS4 exclusive.

(I'm a 360-PS4 convert so peeps can't call me a Sony fanboy)

I was subscribed to this at one time. When a bunch of new games that you want are coming out, it's totally worth it. My best example would be this: I got the original Gears of War on release day, brand new and then I later bought it for a quarter of the price.

Oh, you should've seen the Bungie forums when they announced the PS4 would be getting early beta access. Xbox kiddies flipped. They would go on these multi-paragraph rants about how Bungie abandoned them and betrayed them and hurt their feelings and committed all sorts of other evil mischief.

Bungie's response: "Time
