I won't miss these reviews, I would have stopped reading them anyway after this season, because of too many weird interpretations of the show. I disagree about comments about the acting too.

Great post, these are simply the facts.
The writing for Lord Gillingham is abysmal. "He's dead and I'm alive" is the worst line of the show, and he comes across as stalkerish, pushy, and childish, he only cares about his feelings and not Mary's. And they don't have any chemistry whatsoever. Meh.

Perfect post, I agree with you on everything.

It is not handled well, imo.

I didn't like the handling of the plotline at all. It was poor.

I couldn't disagree more with what it's said about Mary/Matthew and Mary/Gillingham here. Everything that was natural about Mary/Matthew is now forced on us with Mary/Gillingham. I also don't see any chemistry between the actors, their scenes are stiff.

You are right not to trust him because that's exactly what Mary's storyline will be at the end, a love triangle. The managing of the estate and being a mother are just things in background.

"Clearly, where Matthew is forceful, Branson is eloquent (maybe that’s why Branson got his lady love to marry him after a few months, rather than several years). "
Uhm, Branson asked Sybil in 1916 and they married in 1919… several years passed.
