Realism versus is a lot of fun. Way more fun being the infected, and that is basically the only part that is fun. Survivor is tense and exciting, infected is crazy fun. Reducing the effectiveness of survivor increases the tension, and increases the infected fun.

@Bgrngod: The offers on the "offer wall" were free, for the most part. The part that pissed people off was the fact that merely clicking to VIEW the offer page sent all your info to superrewards, who then proceed to spam the shit out of you. Also, the offers or the offer wall (i'm not sure on that point) infected…

@BoxOfScraps: It's not that simple. The new Ubisoft DRM doesn't just stop you playing, it stores crucial game data on the servers, as well requiring you to download levels as you play them. At least, that is how it worked with assassins creed II.

@andre1028: Ok. They have already stated they will not stop doing free demos. They give Battlefield 1943 as an example. That game was not incomplete by a long shot, and it had it's own 1 level demo. Now, if you like the one level, you could buy the smaller scale game for $15.

I dunno. I could see this being as a good thing. Like buying the first episode of Sam & Max before deciding if you want to buy the rest. As long as the rest of the game is discounted to account for your initial purchase, I'm OK with it.
