Stephanie McMahon. Ugh.
Stephanie McMahon. Ugh.
I only wanted 1 thing from The New Day winning the titles and it was a Big E main event push. I get that they won't have a fun character intrude on people making SERIOUS FACES until after WrestleMania, but if he doesn't get a good feud for Summerslam, why do they even exist?
Aw, Sean plugging Saint Vincent. Memories…
He did a benefit show I was at a couple of weeks ago that raised 1/3 of the operating budget for a big food pantry his brother-in-law runs. Even better, it was a back-to-back show and he looked like death, but he put every ounce of energy into delivering a perfect set.
There is a food chunk (mm, appetizing way to put it), but it's mostly about family. The Jim Gaffigan Show was really overlooked last year, and it's a better indicator of where he is these days. His food jokes act as catchphrases to keep the audience happy while he tries some new stuff.
Dikachu, politically inactive Americans couldn't even take the time to understand the basics of the national health care overhaul that we're going to be battling about for 20 years.
Yeah! Just in time for me not to factor it into year-end lists. My friends report that it's on equal footing with the 1st season.
That was 1 of those good Jeopardy clues where if you have any passing knowledge of the content (Christian, Jewish, or were educated before 1990), it's easy and could be guessed, but if you're completely unfamiliar, you're screwed. "This Shakespearean comedy…" "Um……Romeo And Juliet?"
I just want to mention that Broken Pixels on 1-Up were the 1st to important the Mystery Science Theater 3000 style to video games. Bask in the glow of my favorite one. Do stay until the end!
Like A Dragon/Yakuza is everything Shenmue is, but better. If you haven't burned through that series and imported the console and handheld exclusives, you've made a huge mistake.
I mean, probably not, honestly.
Good point about the Whole Foods section.
I would not put him in that group at all, but, yes, what a surprise! I liked him just fine, and then he puts out my 3rd favorite special of the year (behind Bo Burnham, very sincere but also very ironic, and Rory Scovel, literally all irony and bits). Good call. I knew his would be something special when I saw the…
I really wish, say, the Cesaros of the world got the benefit of the doubt from WWE like Naito got the benefit of the doubt after floundering in NJPW.
Speaking as someone who liked "parody of a weeaboo" Omega, this Omega is indeed the real deal and every bit as good as Styles.
Complete list of current heels who have real heat with me:
The Young Bucks (because I hate everything about them)
Stephanie McMahon (because I hate her putting herself over everyone)
Charlotte Flair (because she is good at her job: being not as clever as Kevin Owens, but having an equal commitment to not looking cool)…
I could not enjoy either of the 2 spots mentioned above. I don't even mind strong style, but I am of the philosophy that "just because you can, doesn't mean you should (except maybe 1 time for posterity)." Catchy!
I sort of understand it for your average WWE Raw but you should honestly find the last 2 matches online and then sign up for their streaming service if you like it.
On that note, I'd love a list of good comedians who are really sincere and/or smug, but can back it up with great jokes or great writing.
I've been burned by enough of her specials to pass on this one, but maybe The A.V. Club could either do a year-end list instead of 6 about television or do a monthly round-up like they do for books and music?
