I think one thing that would greatly improve would be mandatory visibility vests.

This is going to sound a little libertarian, but traffic laws shouldn’t apply to motorcycles. Motorcyclists have a strong incentive to avoid collisions, probably stronger than any feeling they have to follow the law, and we should defer to their personal judgement of how they want to get around.

As a car driver, thank you!! It always scares the crap out of me to see a bike whip past inbetween lanes because it’s not something that’s expected.

Insurance rates are really just a symptom of the biggest problem stopping people from becoming motorcycle riders; the danger (or perception of danger). If we could address that fundamental problem, people wouldn’t have any excuse not to ride. Better (car and motorcycle) driver education, better safety gear, better

Sure; as soon as you stop lane splitting even when you know it’s illegal. It’s hard to pay attention to vehicles that decide to travel where they should not be.

Get rid of car pool lanes and have a motorcycle lane so we don’t have to worry about cars killing us because they’re not paying attention to the road.
