I knit and watch TV, but knitting while reading is super impressive! Wow!

The problem with this poll is that it assumes that the answer does not depend on the situation. I buy a book on paper when I expect to want to keep it on my bookshelf (i.e., by a favorite author) or lend it to others (which is impossible on Kindle except in certain situations, and even then for a too-short timeframe).

In my community the expression for this is, "I'm a worthless piece of shit that the whole world revolves around. " :)

What I like to say is (and I don't know the origin of this saying), "What other people think of me is none of my business."

"plug and play with a desk lamp"

Buying lunch is the healthiest option for me, but a meal-sized salad with hard-boiled egg or tofu added on top for protein runs $10-12 around here. My homemade lunches are less healthy, but cheaper. I balance it out by making lunch 2-3 times a week and buying it the other days.

I worked in a cube next to a woman who not only had an extremely loud voice, but who literally spent 80% of her day making personal phone calls. I am an attorney, so I was not only quite busy, but spent most of my time concentrating on detail-oriented work like drafting and reviewing legal agreements. I dealt with it

How will this affect "spy" services like Bananatag, that hide a 1x1 pixel image in the email?

There's also a cafe in my town that promotes all kinds of wacky (and presumably made-up) benefits from peanut milk! (link) Seriously, though, I get tired of hearing that "people automatically get enough protein" because that's really only true if you eat meat. Otherwise, the protein content in soy milk is reason

If you're interested in saving money, there's no reason to include meat in your meals. You could make more, better, cheaper food if you converted these into vegetarian recipes...

It's great that you got lucky — but as someone who is an experienced hobby seamstress, I wanted to let people know that even if you're planning to get a suit tailored, it should generally fit. If you get more than a couple of sizes too large, there is really no way to tailor it and have it look right without taking

I've always assumed that I don't need to get tested for cholesterol or care about it in any way because I don't eat meat, eat a healthy diet, and exercise every day. Unfortunately this article didn't really confirm or deny that assumption... guess I'll just keep truckin' along with not caring! :)

This is a great idea in theory, but I can't imagine why I would trust some random app purveyor to keep my data secure... I have photocopies of all my credit cards (front and back) and other stuff in case my wallet gets stolen, and I keep them in my file cabinet at home. Seems a lot more secure to me...

Considering how intrusive and privacy-invading this is, I'd love to have more explicit instructions on how to prevent myself from being spied on. Just disable all remote images from downloading automatically?

It's hard to master, and also takes time to master. I got very frustrated with attempts at meditation early on because I would try to go for 5 or more minutes at a stretch. It wasn't until I learned that you have to start VERY small, try a variety of different methods (meditating while knitting a simple pattern works

I use emusic on a Mac and have done so for at least 5 years.

I've been an eMusic subscriber for years and I love it, but I've never been able to get a straight answer as to whether artists actually get a fair cut of the downloads, or if it's just a Spotify-style pittance. Maybe someone can add some insight?
