Parents that are homophobic, excessively controlling and/or abusive are already so, aren’t they? This tool isn’t going to change that.

You are correct that kids are not property, but parents do have a responsibility to raise their children the best they know how. Some are obviously better than others. As a parent, I am NOT worried about my child, but everyone else that she comes in contact with.

As a parent, I would want to know if my child is facing any of these situations so that I could help and provide the guidance they need. I would much rather discuss this with them than some shady character on the Internet.
